56:1
ፍጻሜ ፡ ዘበእንተ ፡ ሕዝብ ፡ እለ ፡ እምቅዱሳን ፡ ርሕቁ ፡ ዘዳዊት ፡ አርአያ ፡ መጽሐፍ ፤ ዘአመ ፡ አኀዝዎ ፡ ኢሎፍሊ ፡ በጌት ። ተሣሀለኒ ፡ እግዚኦ ፡ እስመ ፡ ኬደኒ ፡ ሰብእ ፤ ወኵሎ ፡ አሚረ ፡ አስርሐኒ ፡ ቀትል ።
Be merciful to me, God, for man wants to swallow me up. All day long, he attacks and oppresses me.
上帝啊，求你憐憫我，因為人要把我吞了， 終日攻擊欺壓我。
56:2
ወኬዱኒ ፡ ፀርየ ፡ ኵሎ ፡ አሚረ ፡ በኑኀ ፡ ዕለት ፤ እስመ ፡ ብዙኃን ፡ እለ ፡ ፀብኡኒ ፡ ወፈራህኩ ።
My enemies want to swallow me up all day long, for they are many who fight proudly against me.
我的仇敵終日要把我吞了， 因逞驕傲攻擊我的人甚多。
56:3
ወአንሰ ፡ ኪያከ ፡ ተወከልኩ ፡ እግዚኦ ።
When I am afraid, I will put my trust in you.
我懼怕的時候要倚靠你。
56:4
በእግዚአብሔር ፡ እሴብሕ ፡ ቃልየ ፤ ወበእግዚአብሔር ፡ ተወከልኩ ፡ ኢይፈርህ ፤ ምንተ ፡ ይሬስየኒ ፡ ዘሥጋ ።
In God, I praise his word. In God, I put my trust. I will not be afraid. What can flesh do to me?
我倚靠上帝，我要讚美他的話； 我倚靠上帝，必不懼怕。 血氣之輩能把我怎麼樣呢？
56:5
ወኵሎ ፡ አሚረ ፡ ያስቆርሩኒ ፡ ዘነበብኩ ። ወላዕሌየ ፡ ይመክሩ ፡ ኵሎ ፡ እኩየ ።
All day long they twist my words. All their thoughts are against me for evil.
他們終日顛倒我的話； 他們一切的心思都是要害我。
56:6
ይጸንሑኒ ፡ ወይትኀብኡኒ ። ወእሙንቱሰ ፡ ሰኰናየ ፡ ያስተሓይጹኒ ፤
They conspire and lurk, watching my steps. They are eager to take my life.
他們聚集，埋伏窺探我的腳蹤， 等候要害我的命。
56:7
ወዘልፈ ፡ ይጸንሕዋ ፡ ለነፍስየ ። ወኢታድኅኖሙ ፡ ወኢበምንትኒ ፤ ወታጸድፎሙ ፡ ለአሕዛብ ፡ በመዐትከ ።
Shall they escape by iniquity? In anger cast down the peoples, God.
他們豈能因罪孽逃脫嗎？ 上帝啊，求你在怒中使眾民墮落！
56:8
አምላኪየ ፡ እነግረከ ፡ ሕይወትየ ፤ ወአንበርኩ ፡ አንብዕየ ፡ ቅድሜከ ፡ በከመ ፡ አዘዝከ ።
You count my wanderings. You put my tears into your container. Aren’t they in your book?
我幾次流離，你都記數； 求你把我眼淚裝在你的皮袋裏。 這不都記在你冊子上嗎？
56:9
ለይግብኡ ፡ ፀርየ ፡ ድኅሬሆሙ ፡
Then my enemies shall turn back in the day that I call. I know this: that God is for me.
我呼求的日子，我的仇敵都要轉身退後。 上帝幫助我，這是我所知道的。
56:10
አመ ፡ ዕለተ ፡ እጼውዐከ ፤ ናሁ ፡ ኣእመርኩ ፡ ከመ ፡ አምላኪየ ፡ አንተ ።
In God, I will praise his word. In Yahweh, I will praise his word.
我倚靠上帝，我要讚美他的話； 我倚靠耶和華，我要讚美他的話。
56:11
በእግዚአብሔር ፡ እሴብሕ ፡ ቃልየ ፤ በእግዚአብሔር ፡ ይከብር ፡ ዘነበብኩ ። ወበእግዚአብሔር ፡ ተወከልኩ ፡ ኢይፈርህ ፤ ምንተ ፡ ይሬስየኒ ፡ ሰብእ ።
I have put my trust in God. I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?
我倚靠上帝，必不懼怕。 人能把我怎麼樣呢？
56:12
እምኀቤይ ፡ እሁብ ፡ ብፅአትየ ፡ ለስብሓቲከ ።
Your vows are on me, God. I will give thank offerings to you.
上帝啊，我向你所許的願在我身上； 我要將感謝祭獻給你。
56:13
እስመ ፡ አድኀንካ ፡ እሞት ፡ ለነፍስየ ፡ ወለአዕይንትየኒ ፡ እምአንብዕ ፤ ወለእገርየኒ ፡ እምዳኅፅ ። ከመ ፡ ኣሥምሮ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ በብሔረ ፡ ሕያዋን ።
For you have delivered my soul from death, and prevented my feet from falling, that I may walk before God in the light of the living.
因為你救我的命脫離死亡。 你豈不是救護我的腳不跌倒、 使我在生命光中行在上帝面前嗎？
