129:3

ማኅሌት ፡ ዘበመዓርጊሁ ። ዘልፈ ፡ ይፀብኡኒ ፡ እምንእስየ ፤ ይብል ፡ እስራኤል ።

The plowers plowed on my back. They made their furrows long.

如同扶犂的在我背上扶犂而耕，耕的犂溝甚長。

129:4

ዘልፈ ፡ ይፀብኡኒ ፡ እምንእስየ ፤ ወባሕቱ ፡ ኢክህሉኒ ።

Yahweh is righteous. He has cut apart the cords of the wicked.

耶和華是公義的；他砍斷了惡人的繩索。

129:5

ዲበ ፡ ዘባንየ ፡ ዘበጡ ፡ ኃጥኣን ፤ ወአስተርሐቅዋ ፡ ለኃጢአቶሙ ።

Let them be disappointed and turned backward, all those who hate Zion.

願恨惡錫安的都蒙羞退後！

129:6

እግዚአብሔር ፡ ጻድቅ ፡ ሰበረ ፡ አሕዳፊሆሙ ፡ ለኃጥኣን ። ይትኀፈሩ ፡ ወይግብኡ ፡ ድኅሬሆሙ ፤ ኵሎሙ ፡ እለ ፡ ይጸልእዋ ፡ ለጽዮን ።

Let them be as the grass on the housetops, which withers before it grows up,

願他們像房頂上的草，未長成而枯乾，

129:7

ወይኩኑ ፡ ከመ ፡ ሣዕረ ፡ አንሕስት ፤ ወይየብስ ፡ ዘእንበለ ፡ ይምሐውዎ ።

with which the reaper doesn’t fill his hand, nor he who binds sheaves, his bosom.

收割的不夠一把，捆禾的也不滿懷。

129:8

ወኢይመልእ ፡ እዴሁ ፡ ለዘ ፡ የዐፅዶ ፤ ወኢሕፅኖ ፡ ለዘ ፡ ያስተጋብእ ፡ ከላስስቲሁ ። ወኢይበሉ ፡ እለ ፡ የኀልፉ ፡ በረከተ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ምስሌሆሙ ፤ ባረክናክሙ ፡ በስመ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ።

Neither do those who go by say, “The blessing of Yahweh be on you. We bless you in Yahweh’s name.”

過路的也不說：願耶和華所賜的福歸與你們！我們奉耶和華的名給你們祝福！
