Idem Augustus Joanni P. P. Divinam nostram sauctionem, per quam jussimus neminem errore constrictum haereticorum, haereditatem, vel legatum, vel fideicommissum accipere, etiam in ultimis militum voluntatibus locum habere præcipimus, sive communi jure, sive militari testentur.
The same Augustus to John, Praetorian Prefect. Our divine sanction, by which we commanded that no one bound by the error of the heretics should receive an inheritance, or a legacy, or a trust (fideicommissum), we order to have force also in the last wills of soldiers, whether they make their testament by the common law or by the military law. Given on the Kalends of September, after the consulship of Lampadius and Orestes, most distinguished men, in the second year [of the reign of Justinian], 532.
