Greek original · 14 verses · some words can be tapped for a gloss

← ch. 107ch. 109 →
📖 This chapter exists in 3 other originals — side by side (Hebrew Old Testament, Vulgate, Ge'ez Bible)
⚠️ Psalms use Masoretic (Hebrew) numbering, which differs from printed Vulgate and Septuagint editions: Ps 108 here = Ps 107 in print. Convert before citing a printed edition.
ℹ️ This corpus has no verse-level morphological tagging. Lemmas come mainly from word-level tagging of other books in the same language (not from this verse), falling back to dictionary form-matching for the rest. Rare homographs can still be misread; verify against the original and a specialist lexicon where precision matters.
ℹ️ The Chinese and English alongside are this site's own translation, made directly from the original text on this page (not the CUV or the WEB, which follow the Masoretic Text and a different textual tradition).

A song of a psalm. Pertaining to Dauid.

108:1
My heart is ready, O God, my heart is ready; I will sing and make music in my glory.
Awake, harp and lyre! I myself will awake at dawn.
I will give you thanks among the peoples, O Lord, and I will make music to you among the nations.
For your mercy is great above the heavens, and your truth reaches to the clouds.
Be exalted above the heavens, O God, and let your glory be over all the earth,
so that your beloved ones may be delivered. Save with your right hand, and answer me.

Galaad is mine, and Manasse is mine, and Ephraim is the support of my head; Ioudas is my king.
Moab is the cauldron of my hope; over Idoumaia I will stretch out my sandal; the allophyles have been made subject to me.
Who will lead me away into a fortified city? Who will guide me as far as Idoumaia?
Is it not you, O God, who rejected us? And you, O God, will not go out with our armies.
Give us help out of affliction, for vain is the salvation of man.
In God we shall do mighty deeds, and he himself will bring our enemies to nothing.
