Psalms 23

Greek original · 6 verses · some words can be tapped for a gloss

← ch. 22ch. 24 →
📖 This chapter exists in 3 other originals — side by side (Hebrew Old Testament, Vulgate, Ge'ez Bible)
⚠️ Psalms use Masoretic (Hebrew) numbering, which differs from printed Vulgate and Septuagint editions: Ps 23 here = Ps 22 in print. Convert before citing a printed edition.
ℹ️ This corpus has no verse-level morphological tagging. Lemmas come mainly from word-level tagging of other books in the same language (not from this verse), falling back to dictionary form-matching for the rest. Rare homographs can still be misread; verify against the original and a specialist lexicon where precision matters.
ℹ️ The Chinese and English alongside are this site's own translation, made directly from the original text on this page (not the CUV or the WEB, which follow the Masoretic Text and a different textual tradition).

23:1
A psalm. Of David. The Lord shepherds me, and nothing shall I lack.
In a verdant place, there he made me encamp; by water of rest he nourished me.
He restored my soul; he led me on paths of righteousness for the sake of his name.
For even if I walk in the midst of the shadow of death, I will not fear evils, because you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comforted me.
You prepared a table before me in the presence of those who afflict me; you anointed my head with oil, and your cup is intoxicating like the finest.
And your mercy shall pursue me all the days of my life, and my dwelling in the house of the Lord is unto length of days.
