Psalms 55

Greek original · 24 verses · some words can be tapped for a gloss

← ch. 54ch. 56 →
📖 This chapter exists in 3 other originals — side by side (Hebrew Old Testament, Vulgate, Ge'ez Bible)
⚠️ Psalms use Masoretic (Hebrew) numbering, which differs from printed Vulgate and Septuagint editions: Ps 55 here = Ps 54 in print. Convert before citing a printed edition.
ℹ️ This corpus has no verse-level morphological tagging. Lemmas come mainly from word-level tagging of other books in the same language (not from this verse), falling back to dictionary form-matching for the rest. Rare homographs can still be misread; verify against the original and a specialist lexicon where precision matters.
ℹ️ The Chinese and English alongside are this site's own translation, made directly from the original text on this page (not the CUV or the WEB, which follow the Masoretic Text and a different textual tradition).

καὶ εἶπα τίς δώσει μοι πτέρυγας ὡσεὶ περιστερᾶς καὶ πετασθήσομαι καὶ καταπαύσω

who together with me enjoyed sweet food; in the house of God we walked in concord.
你我曾一同享受甘美的食物,在神的殿中同心而行。
55:15
ἐλθέτω θάνατος ἐπ’ αὐτούς καὶ καταβήτωσαν εἰς ᾅδου ζῶντες ὅτι πονηρίαι ἐν ταῖς παροικίαις αὐτῶν ἐν μέσῳ αὐτῶν
Let death come upon them, and let them go down alive into Hades, for wickedness is in their dwellings, in their midst.

But you, O God, will bring them down to the pit of destruction; men of blood and deceit will not live out half their days; but as for me, I will hope in you, O Lord.
神啊,你必使他們下到滅亡的坑裡;流人血、行詭詐的人必活不過半生;至於我,主啊,我要指望你。
