Consuetodlnem sollicitudinis suæ pietas vestra custodit, nos digoatlone pariter ac litteris visitando. Addidistis solemnitati quam gaudenter Deo praestante suscepimus, et quod spectabatur in votiva cultus consummatione supplestis. Mihi autem de lætitia, in quantum eam cognovero, gratulanti non minus dulce est, post longum tempus absentiae prospere vos redisse, quam festa paschalia cum exsultatione transigere.

Your devotion keeps the custom of its solicitude, visiting us alike with condescension and with letters. You have added to the solemnity which we joyfully received by God's granting, and you have supplied what was looked for in the votive completion of the observance. To me, moreover, rejoicing over that gladness insofar as I shall come to know it, it is no less sweet that after a long time of absence you have returned safe and sound, than to spend the paschal feast with exultation.
