1:1
ፍካሬ ፡ ዘጻድቃን ፡ ወዘኃጥኣን ፤ መዝሙር ፡ ዘዳዊት ፡ ሀሌሉያ ። ብፁዕ ፡ ብእሲ ፡ ዘኢሖረ ፡ በምክረ ፡ ረሲዓን ፤ ወዘኢቆመ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ፍኖተ ፡ ኃጥኣን ፤ ወዘኢነበረ ፡ ውስተ ፡ መንበረ ፡ መስተሳልቃን ።
不從惡人的計謀， 不站罪人的道路， 不坐褻慢人的座位，
Blessed is the man who doesn’t walk in the counsel of the wicked, nor stand on the path of sinners, nor sit in the seat of scoffers;
1:2
ዘዳእሙ ፡ ሕገ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ሥምረቱ ፤ ወዘሕጎ ፡ ያነብብ ፡ መዕልተ ፡ ወሌሊተ ።
惟喜愛耶和華的律法， 晝夜思想， 這人便為有福！
but his delight is in Yahweh’s law. On his law he meditates day and night.
1:3
ወየከውን ፡ ከመ ፡ ዕፅ ፡ እንተ ፡ ትክልት ፡ ኀበ ፡ ሙሓዘ ፡ ማይ ፤ እንተ ፡ ትሁብ ፡ ፍሬሃ ፡ በበጊዜሃ ።
他要像一棵樹栽在溪水旁， 按時候結果子， 葉子也不枯乾。 凡他所做的盡都順利。
He will be like a tree planted by the streams of water, that produces its fruit in its season, whose leaf also does not wither. Whatever he does shall prosper.
1:4
ወቈጽላኒ ፡ ኢይትነገፍ ፤ ወኵሎ ፡ ዘገብረ ፡ ይፌጽም ።
惡人並不是這樣， 乃像糠詷被風吹散。
The wicked are not so, but are like the chaff which the wind drives away.
1:5
አኮ ፡ ከመዝ ፡ ኃጥኣንሰ ፡ አኮ ፡ ከመዝ ፤ ዳእሙ ፡ ከመ ፡ መሬት ፡ ዘይግሕፍ ፡ ነፍስ ፡ እምገጸ ፡ ምድር ።
因此，當審判的時候，惡人必站立不住； 罪人在義人的會中也是如此。
Therefore the wicked shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.
1:6
ወበእንተዝ ፡ ኢይትነሥኡ ፡ ረሲዓን ፡ እምደይን ፤ ወኢኃጥኣን ፡ ውስተ ፡ ምክረ ፡ ጻድቃን ። እስመ ፡ ያአምር ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ፍኖቶሙ ፡ ለጻድቃን ፤ ወፍኖቶሙ ፡ ለኃጥኣን ፡ ትጠፍእ ።
因為耶和華知道義人的道路； 惡人的道路卻必滅亡。
For Yahweh knows the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked shall perish.
