122:1
Cum apparuissent angeli in terra, clamaverunt: Cloria in excelsis Deo (Luc. II, 14). Sj Pater et Filius et Spiritus sancius in excelsis est, bene dicimus, Gloria Patri et Filio et Spiritui sancto; nec possumus Patri sine Filii gloriam honoremque dare, cum ipse in Evangelio jubeat, Ut omnes sic honorificenf Filium, sicut hunorificant Patrem (Joan. v, 25). Et Apostolus dicit, quod nemo honorat Dominum Jesum, Misi in Spiritu sancio ( I Cor. XII, 3).
When the angels had appeared on earth, they cried out: Glory to God in the highest (Luke 2:14). If the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit are in the highest, we rightly say, Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit; nor can we give glory and honor to the Father without the Son, since He Himself commands in the Gospel, That all should honor the Son even as they honor the Father (John 5:23). And the Apostle says that no one honors the Lord Jesus except in the Holy Spirit (1 Cor. 12:3).
當眾天使在地上顯現時，他們高聲說：在至高之處榮耀歸與神（路加福音二14）。父、子、聖靈若都在至高之處，我們就正確地說：願榮耀歸與父、子、聖靈；我們也不能撇下子而單將榮耀尊貴歸與父，因祂自己在福音書中吩咐：叫人都尊敬子如同尊敬父一樣（約翰福音五23）。使徒又說：若不是被聖靈感動的，也沒有能尊主耶穌為主的（哥林多前書十二3）。
