Alia post hæc diversorum Aviti operum plurima et illustria fragmenta suppeditavit nobis ex Carthusiæ Majoris bibliotheca, a codex Flori diacon; Ecclesiæ Lugdunensis, in quo beati Pauli Epistolas ex veterum aliquot Patrum scriptis exponere aggressus, post Cypriani, Hilarii, Fulqentii aliorumquesententias, quas singillatim ordine describil, Aviti quoque operum eorum duntaxat qui Pauli locum aliquem tractant, segmenta ultimo tandem loco digerit in hunc modum
After these, other very many and illustrious fragments of the diverse works of Avitus were supplied to us from the library of the Greater Charterhouse, from a codex of Florus the deacon of the Church of Lyons; in which, having undertaken to expound the Epistles of blessed Paul from the writings of several of the ancient Fathers, after the opinions of Cyprian, Hilary, Fulgentius, and others—which he sets down one by one in order—he at last, in the final place, arranges in this manner the excerpts of Avitus's works, but only of those which treat some passage of Paul:
