Apostolus Paulus ad Galatas, personæ inseparabilitatem dcsignans, ipsum dicit natum de muliere quem misit Deus Filium suum; sicut alio loco, Primus, inquit, homo de terra terrenus, secundus de cœlo cælestis ( I Cor. xv, 47); cum unus idemque mediator, de cœlo Deus, homo de terra sit; qui de utero Virginis cLitus, ante quam coelos ascenderet, coelestis congrue diclus est; quia celsitudini suhslan. tiæ cælestis immixtus, cœli Dominus factus est.
The Apostle Paul to the Galatians, designating the inseparability of the person, says that He whom God sent as His Son was born of a woman; just as in another place, The first man, he says, was of the earth, earthy; the second from heaven, heavenly (1 Cor. 15:47); since one and the same mediator is God from heaven and man from earth; who, brought forth from the womb of the Virgin, was fittingly called heavenly before He ascended the heavens, because, mingled with the loftiness of the heavenly substance, He was made the Lord of heaven.
使徒保羅寫給加拉太人，為要標明位格的不可分，說神所差來作祂兒子的那位是由女子所生；正如他在別處說：頭一個人是出於地，乃屬土；第二個人是出於天（哥林多前書十五47）；因為這位獨一無二的中保，既是從天而來的神，又是從地而出的人；祂由童貞女腹中生出，在升天以先就被合宜地稱為屬天的，因祂與屬天本體的至高相融，成了天的主。
