Post festivitatem in qua de præsentia vel incolumitate domni nostri vota vestra et merita claruerunt, paginis ad ipsum officiis destinatis, jure vobis peculiaribus pectoris mei etiam præsentium litterarum famulatus offertur: per quem nos inter tantos, ut fieri potuit, rerum rumores Pascha prospere transegisse significo: sic mihi judicans ejus plenitudinem divini muneris beneficiis proventuram, si vestri quoque colloquii dignationem cum simili prosperitalis agnitione meruero.
After the festival in which your prayers and merits shone forth concerning the presence and safety of our lord, the dutiful offices of a page having been dispatched to him, the service of these present letters too is rightly offered to you by the special affections of my heart: through which I signify that we, amid so many rumors of affairs, have as best we could passed Easter prosperously; judging thus that its fullness will come to me by the benefits of the divine gift, if I shall have merited also the favor of your conversation together with a like acknowledgment of your prosperity.
