60:1
Ad firmitatem promissionis divinae, sit quod antea concessistis Est, Est, quod postea repetistis Non, Non; quia si bene occupatione praesentium qualitas pertractatur, conditionem inter vos habitam, etiam si tunc non debuisset interseri, modo specialiter deceret impleri.
For the firmness of the divine promise, let what you formerly granted be 'Yea, yea,' what you afterwards repeated 'Nay, nay'; for if the quality of the matter be rightly handled amid the occupation of present things, the agreement made between you—even if it ought not then to have been inserted—would now especially be fitting to be fulfilled.
為著神應許的堅定,願您先前所應允的作「是,就是」,您後來所重申的作「不是,就是不是」;因為若在當前事務的紛忙中,事情的性質得以妥善處理,那麼你們之間所立的約定——縱使當時本不該插入——如今尤其理當得以履行。
