Ἡμεῖς δὲ μετὰ ταῦτα λοιπὸν ἀεὶ τούτων ἀλλήλους ἀναμιμνήσκομεν· καὶ οἱ ἔχοντες τοῖς λειπομένοις πᾶσιν ἐπικουροῦμεν, καὶ σύνεσμεν ἀλλήλοις ἀεί. Ἐπὶ πᾶσί τε οἷς προσφερόμεθα εὐλογοῦμεν τὸν ποιητὴν τῶν πάντων διὰ τοῦ υἱοῦ αὐτοῦ Ἰησοῦ Χριστοῦ καὶ διὰ πνεύματος τοῦ ἁγίου. Καὶ τῇ τοῦ ἡλίου λεγομένῃ ἡμέρᾳ πάντων κατὰ πόλεις ἢ ἀγροὺς μενόντων ἐπὶ τὸ αὐτὸ συνέλευσις γίνεται, καὶ τὰ ἀπομνημονεύματα τῶν ἀποστόλων ἢ τὰ συγγράμματα τῶν προφητῶν ἀναγινώσκεται, μέχρις ἐγχωρεῖ. Εἶτα παυσαμένου τοῦ ἀναγινώσκοντος ὁ προεστὼς διὰ λόγου τὴν νουθεσίαν καὶ πρόκλησιν τῆς τῶν καλῶν τούτων μιμήσεως ποιεῖται. Ἔπειτα ἀνιστάμεθα κοινῇ πάντες καὶ εὐχὰς πέμπομεν· καὶ, ὡς προέφημεν, παυσαμένων ἡμῶν τῆς εὐχῆς ἄρτος προσφέρεται καὶ οἶνος καὶ ὕδωρ, καὶ ὁ προεστὼς εὐχὰς ὁμοίως καὶ εὐχαριστίας, ὅση δύναμις αὐτῷ, ἀναπέμπει, καὶ ὁ λαὸς ἐπευφημεῖ λέγων τὸ Ἀμήν, καὶ ἡ διάδοσις καὶ ἡ μετάληψις ἀπὸ τῶν εὐχαριστηθέντων ἑκάστῳ γίνεται, καὶ τοῖς οὐ παροῦσι διὰ τῶν διακόνων πέμπεται. Οἱ εὐποροῦντες δὲ καὶ βουλόμενοι κατὰ προαίρεσιν ἕκαστος τὴν ἑαυτοῦ ὃ βούλεται δίδωσι, καὶ τὸ συλλεγόμενον παρὰ τῷ προεστῶτι ἀποτίθεται, καὶ αὐτὸς ἐπικουρεῖ ὀρφανοῖς τε καὶ χήραις, καὶ τοῖς διὰ νόσον ἢ δι ἄλλην αἰτίαν λειπομένοις, καὶ τοῖς ἐν δεσμοῖς οὖσι, καὶ τοῖς παρεπιδήμοις οὖσι ξένοις, καὶ ἁπλῶς πᾶσι τοῖς ἐν χρείᾳ οὖσι κηδεμὼν γίνεται. Τὴν δὲ τοῦ ἡλίου ἡμέρα κοινῇ πάντες τὴν συνέλευσιν ποιούμεθα, ἐπειδὴ πρώτη ἐστὶν ἡμέρα, ἐν ᾗ ὁ θεὸς τὸ σκότος καὶ τὴν ὕλην τρέψας κόσμον ἐποίησε, καὶ Ἰησοῦς Χριστὸς ὁ ἡμέτερος σωτὴρ τῇ αὐτῇ ἡμέρᾳ ἐκ νεκρῶν ἀνέστη· τῇ γὰρ πρὸ τῆς κρονικῆς ἐσταύρωσαν αὐτόν, καὶ τῇ μετὰ τὴν κρονικήν, ἥτις ἐστὶν ἡλίου ἡμέρα, φανεὶς τοῖς ἀποστόλοις αὐτοῦ καὶ μαθηταῖς ἐδίδαξε ταῦτα, ἅπερ εἰς ἐπίσκεψιν καὶ ὑμῖν ἀνεδώκαμεν
And we after these things ever afterward continually remind one another of them; and those of us who have means assist all who are in want, and we are always together with one another. And for all the things we partake of we bless the Maker of all through his Son Jesus Christ and through the Holy Spirit. And on the day called the day of the Sun there is a gathering together in one place of all who live in cities or in the country, and the memoirs of the apostles or the writings of the prophets are read, as long as time permits. Then, when the reader has ceased, the president by a discourse gives admonition and exhortation to the imitation of these good things. Then we all rise together and offer up prayers; and, as we said before, when we have ceased from the prayer, bread is brought, and wine and water, and the president likewise sends up prayers and thanksgivings, according to his ability, and the people give their assent, saying "Amen"; and there is a distribution to each, and a partaking of that over which thanks have been given, and it is sent through the deacons to those who are not present. And those who are well-to-do and willing each give what he wishes, according to his own choice, and what is collected is deposited with the president, and he himself assists orphans and widows, and those who through sickness or any other cause are in want, and those who are in bonds, and the strangers sojourning among us, and in a word he becomes the guardian of all who are in need. And we all hold our common gathering on the day of the Sun, since it is the first day, on which God, having transformed the darkness and matter, made the world; and Jesus Christ our Savior on the same day rose from the dead; for on the day before that of Saturn they crucified him, and on the day after that of Saturn, which is the day of the Sun, having appeared to his apostles and disciples, he taught them these things, which we have also handed over to you for your examination.
我們此後便彼此不斷地常常題醒這些事;我們中間有財物的，幫助一切窮乏的人，我們也常彼此聚集。凡我們所享用的，我們都藉著祂的兒子耶穌基督並聖靈，稱頌那萬有的創造主。在那稱為太陽日的日子，凡住在城裡或鄉間的人都聚集在一處，誦讀使徒的記述或先知的著作，直到時間許可為止。然後誦讀者停止，主領者便藉言語勸勉、激勵眾人效法這些美善之事。隨後我們眾人一同起立獻上禱告;如我們先前所說，禱告完畢後便擺上餅、酒和水，主領者照他的能力照樣獻上禱告與感謝，眾人就同聲說「阿們」應和;接著將那已獻過感謝的分給各人領受，並藉執事送給不在場的人。那些富足且願意的人，各按自己的心意隨意捐獻，所收集的便交給主領者保管，他便用以幫助孤兒寡婦、因病或因別的緣故而窮乏的人、被囚禁的人、寄居在我們中間的外人，總之，他成為一切有需要之人的看顧者。我們眾人在太陽日一同聚集，因為這是頭一日，神在這日改變了黑暗與物質造成了世界，我們的救主耶穌基督也在這同一日從死裡復活;因為他們在土星日的前一日將祂釘十字架，祂便在土星日的次日，就是太陽日，向祂的使徒與門徒顯現，將這些事教導他們，這些事我們也呈交給你們察驗。
