3-30:1

Ἀλλὰ τῇ αὑτῶν κακίᾳ ἐγκαλεῖτε, ὅτι καὶ συκοφαντεῖσθαι δυνατός ἐστιν ὁ θεὸς ὑπὸ τῶν νοῦν μὴ ἐχόντων, ὡς τὰ αὐτὰ δίκαια μὴ πάντας ἀεὶ διδάξας. Πολλοῖς γὰρ ἀνθρώποις ἄλογα καὶ οὐκ ἄξια θεοῦ τὰ τοιαῦτα διδάγματα ἔδοξεν εἶναι, μὴ λαβοῦσι χάριν τοῦ γνῶναι ὅτι τὸν λαὸν ὑμῶν πονηρευόμενον καὶ ἐν νόσῳ ψυχικῇ ὑπάρχοντα εἰς ἐπιστροφὴν καὶ μετάνοιαν τοῦ πνεύματος κέκληκε, καὶ αἰώνιός ἐστι μετὰ τὸν Μωσέως θάνατον προελθοῦσα ἡ προφητεία

But blame your own wickedness, that God can even be slandered by those who have no understanding, as though He had not always taught the same righteous precepts to all. For to many men such teachings have seemed irrational and unworthy of God, because they have not received the grace to know that He has called your people—wicked and afflicted with a sickness of soul as it is—to conversion and to repentance of spirit; and the prophecy that came forth after the death of Moses is eternal.

你們倒要責怪自己的惡，因為神竟能被那些沒有悟性的人毀謗，彷彿他不是始終向眾人教導同樣的義。在許多人看來，這樣的教訓似乎是不合理、與神不相稱的，這是因為他們沒有得著恩典，去明白神乃是要呼召你們這作惡、心靈患病的百姓回轉、心靈悔改；並且摩西死後所發出的豫言乃是永遠長存的。

3-30:2

Καὶ διὰ τοῦ ψαλμοῦ τοῦτο εἴρηται, ὦ ἄνδρες. Καὶ ὅτι γλυκύτερα ὑπὲρ μέλι καὶ κηρίον ὁμολογοῦμεν αὐτά, οἱ σοφισθέντες ἀπ αὐτῶν, ἐκ τοῦ καὶ μέχρι θανάτου ἀνεξαρνήτους ἡμᾶς γίνεσθαι το(??) ὀνόματος αὐτοῦ φαίνεται. Ὅτι δὲ καὶ αἰτοῦμεν αὐτόν, οἱ πιστεύοντες εἰς αὐτόν, ἵνα ἀπὸ τῶν ἀλλοτρίων, τουτέστιν ἀπὸ τῶν πονηρῶν καὶ πλάνων πνευμάτων, συντηρήσῃ ἡμᾶς, ἀπὸ προσώπου ἑνὸς τῶν εἰς αὐτὸν πιστευόντων σχηματοποιήσας ὁ λόγος τῆς προφητείας λέγει, πᾶσι φανερόν ἐστιν

And this has been said through the Psalm, O men. And that we who have been made wise by them confess them to be sweeter than honey and the honeycomb, is evident from the fact that we do not deny His name even unto death. And that we who believe in Him also ask Him to keep us safe from the alien spirits—that is, from the wicked and deceiving spirits—the word of prophecy, speaking in the person of one of those who believe in Him, makes plain to all.

弟兄們，這話是藉詩篇說的。我們這些因這些話得了智慧的人，承認它們比蜜、比蜂房下滴的蜜更甜，這從我們至死也不否認他的名上就可看出。再者，我們這些信他的人，也求他保守我們脫離那些外來的，就是脫離那些邪惡迷惑的靈；豫言之道藉著一個信他之人的口氣這樣說，這是眾人都明明可見的。

Ἀπὸ γὰρ τῶν δαιμονίων,ἅ ἐστιν ἀλλότρια τῆς θεοσεβείας τοῦ θεοῦ, οἶς πάλαι προσεκυνοῦμεν, τὸν θεὸν ἀεὶ διὰ Ἰησοῦ Χριστοῦ συντηρηθῆναι παρακαλοῦμεν, ἵνα μετὰ τὸ ἐπιστρέψαι πρὸς θεὸν δι αὐτοῦ ἄμωμοι ὦμεν. Βοηθὸν γὰρ ἐκεῖνον καὶ λυτρωτὴν καλοῦμεν, οὗ καὶ τὴν τοῦ ὀνόματος ἰσχὺν καὶ τὰ δαιμόνια τρέμει, καὶ σήμερον ἐξορκιζόμενα κατὰ τοῦ ὀνόματος Ἰησοῦ Χριστοῦ, τοῦ σταυρωθέντος ἐπὶ Ποντίου Πιλάτου, τοῦ γενομένου ἐπιτρόπου τῆς Ἰουδαίας, ὑποτάσσεται, ὡς καὶ ἐκ τούτου πᾶσι φανερὸν εἶναι ὅτι ὁ πατὴρ αὐτοῦ τοσαύτην ἔδωκεν αὐτῷ δύναμιν, ὥστε καὶ τὰ δαιμόνια ὑποτάσσεσθαι τῷ ὀνόματι αὐτοῦ καὶ τῇ τοῦ γενομένου πάθους αὐτοῦ οἰκονομίᾳ

For from the demons, which are alien to the godly worship of God, and to whom we formerly bowed down, we entreat that we may always be kept safe by God through Jesus Christ, so that after we have turned to God through Him we may be without blemish. For we call Him our Helper and Redeemer, the might of whose name even the demons tremble at; and to this day, when they are exorcized in the name of Jesus Christ, who was crucified under Pontius Pilate, who was procurator of Judea, they are made subject—so that from this too it is manifest to all that His Father has given Him such great power, that even the demons are made subject to His name and to the dispensation of the suffering He underwent.

因為我們素來所敬拜的鬼魔，乃是與敬虔事奉神為相違的；我們懇求神藉著耶穌基督常保守我們脫離它們，叫我們藉著他歸向神之後，可以無瑕無疵。因為我們稱他為幫助者、救贖者，連鬼魔也因他名的權能而戰兢；直到今日，當人奉那在本丟彼拉多——當時猶太巡撫——手下被釘十字架的耶穌基督的名趕逐它們時，它們就降服了。由此眾人也都明明可見，他的父賜給他如此大的能力，以致連鬼魔也都降服於他的名，並降服於他所受之苦難的安排。
