And in addition to these things you made the calf, and were eager to commit fornication with the daughters of strangers and to practise idolatry; and after these things again, when the land had been delivered to you with such great power that you beheld the sun, at the command of that man surnamed Jesus, stand still in heaven and not set for thirty-six hours, and all the other mighty acts wrought for you in their season—of which it seems good to me now to enumerate yet one more; for it contributes to your understanding, from it also, Jesus, whom we too have recognised as Christ the Son of God, crucified and risen and ascended into the heavens, and to come again as judge of absolutely all men, even back to Adam himself.
