3-59:1

Καὶ ταῦτα εἰπών· Ἀνάσχεσθέ μου, ἔλεγον, καὶ ἀπὸ τῆς βίβλου τῆς Ἐξόδου ἀποδεικνύοντος ὑμῖν, πῶς ὁ αὐτὸς οὗτος καὶ ἄγγελος καὶ θεὸς καὶ κύριος καὶ ἀνὴρ καὶ ἄνθρωπος, Ἀβραὰμ καὶ Ἰακὼβ φανείς, ἐν πυρὶ φλογὸς ἐκ βάτου πέφανται καὶ·ὡμίλησε τῷ Μωσεῖ. Κἀκείνων ἡδέως καὶ ἀκαμάτως καὶ προθύμως ἀκούειν λεγόντων, ἐπέφερον·

說了這話，我接著說：「請容忍我，」我說，「讓我從出埃及記向你們證明，這同一位——既是使者、又是神、又是主、又是男人、又是人，曾向亞伯拉罕和雅各顯現的——如今在荊棘的火焰中顯現，並與摩西說話。」他們說願意樂意、不倦、熱切地聽，我便繼續說：

Having said this, I went on: "Bear with me," I said, "while from the book of Exodus I demonstrate to you how this same One is both Angel and God and Lord and Man and human being—who appeared to Abraham and Jacob—now manifested in a flame of fire out of a bush and conversed with Moses." And when they said they would listen gladly, tirelessly, and eagerly, I continued:

Ταῦτα δέ ἐστιν ἐν τῇ βίβλῳἣ ἐπιγράφεται Ἔξοδος. Μετὰ δὲ τὰς ἡμέρας τὰς πολλὰς ἐκείνας ἐτελεύτησεν ὁ βασιλεὺς Αἰγύπτου, καὶ κατεστέναξαν οἱ υἱοὶ Ἰσραὴλ ἀπὸ τῶν ἔργων· καὶ τὰ λοιπὰ μέχρι τοῦ· Ἐλθὼν συνάγαγε τὴν γερουσίαν Ἰσραήλ, καὶ ἐρεῖς πρὸς αὐτούς· Κύριος, ὁ θεὸς τῶν πατέρων ὑμῶν, ὤφθη μοι, ὁ θεὸς Ἀβραὰμ καὶ ὁ θεὸς Ἰσαὰκ καὶ ὁ θεὸς Ἰακώβ, λέγων· Ἐπισκοπῇ ἐπισκέπτομαι ὑμᾶς καὶ ὅσα συμβέβηκεν ὑμὶν ἐν Αἰγύπτῳ

「這些話記在那名為出埃及記的書中：『過了多日，埃及王死了。以色列人因作苦工而歎息』等等，直到：『你去招聚以色列的長老，對他們說：耶和華你們祖宗的神，就是亞伯拉罕的神、以撒的神、雅各的神，向我顯現，說：我實在眷顧了你們，看見你們在埃及所遭遇的一切。』」

"These things are in the book which is entitled Exodus: 'Now after those many days the king of Egypt died, and the children of Israel groaned by reason of their labors,' and the rest, down to: 'Go, gather together the elders of Israel, and say to them: The Lord, the God of your fathers, has appeared to me, the God of Abraham and the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob, saying: I have surely visited you and seen all that has befallen you in Egypt.'"

Καὶ ἐπὶ τούτοις ἐπέφερον·Ὦ ἄνδρες, νενοήκατε, λέγων, ὅτι ὃν λέγει Μωσῆς ἄγγελον ἐν πυρὶ φλογὸς λελαληκέναι αὐτῷ οὗτος αὐτός, θεὸς ὤν, σημαίνει τῷ Μωσεῖ ὅτι αὐτός ἐστιν ὁ θεὸς Ἀβραὰμ καὶ Ἰσαὰκ καὶ Ἰακώβ:

說到這裡，我又補充說：「列位，你們明白了嗎，」我說，「摩西所說那在火焰中向他說話的使者，正是這同一位；祂既是神，便向摩西表明祂就是亞伯拉罕、以撒、雅各的神。」

And upon these I added: "O men, have you understood," I said, "that the One whom Moses says was an angel speaking to him in a flame of fire is this same One who, being God, signifies to Moses that He is the God of Abraham and Isaac and Jacob?"
