3-83:1

Καὶ γὰρ τὸ Λέγει κύριος τῷ κυρίῳ μου· Κάθου ἐκ δεξιῶν μου, ἕως ἂν θῶ τοὺς ἐχθρούς σου ὑποπόδιον τῶν ποδῶν σου, εἰς Ἐζεκίαν εἰρῆσθαι ἐτόλμησαν ὑμῶν οἱ διδάσκαλοι ἐξηγήσασθαι, ὡς κελευσθέντος αὐτοῦ ἐν δεξιᾷ τοῦ ναοῦ καθεσθῆναι, ὅτε προσέπεμψεν αὐτῷ ὁ βασιλεὺς Ἀσσυρίων ἀπειλῶν, καὶ ἐσημάνθη αὐτῷ διὰ τοῦ Ἡσαίου μὴ φοβεῖσθαι αὐτόν. Καὶ ὅτι μὲν γέγονε τὰ λεχθέντα ὑπὸ Ἡσαΐου οὕτως, καὶ ἀπεστράφη ὁ βασιλεὺς Ἀσσυρίων τοῦ μὴ πολεμῆσαι τὴν Ἱερουσαλὴμ ἐν ἡμέραις τοῦ Ἐζεκίου, καὶ ἄγγελος κυρίου ἀνεῖλεν ἐκ τῆς παρεμβολῆς τῶν Ἀσσυρίων εἰς ἑκατὸν ὀγδοήκοντα πέντε χιλιάδας, καὶ ἐπιστάμεθα καὶ ὁμολογοῦμεν

For your teachers have dared to interpret the saying, "The Lord said to my Lord: Sit at my right hand, until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet," as spoken of Hezekiah, as though he had been commanded to sit on the right side of the temple, when the king of the Assyrians sent threats against him, and it was signified to him through Isaiah not to fear him. And that what was spoken by Isaiah did indeed come to pass thus—that the king of the Assyrians turned back from making war on Jerusalem in the days of Hezekiah, and an angel of the Lord destroyed from the camp of the Assyrians a hundred and eighty-five thousand—this we both know and confess.

3-83:2

Ὅτι δὲ εἰς αὐτὸν οὐκ εἴρηται ὁ ψαλμός, δῆλον. Ἔχει γὰρ οὕτως· Λέγει κύριος τῷ κυρίῳ μου· Κάθου ἐκ δεξιῶν μου, ἕως ἂν θῶ τοὺς ἐχθρούς σου ὑποπόδιον τῶν ποδῶν σου. Ῥάβδον δυνάμεως ἐξαποστελεῖ ἐπὶ Ἱερουσαλήμ. καὶ κατακυριεύσει ἐν μέσῳ τῶν ἐχθρῶν σου. Ἐν λαμπρότητι τῶν ἁγίων, πρὸ ἑωσφόρου ἐγέννησά σε. Ὤμοσε κύριος καὶ οὐ μεταμεληθήσεται· Σὺ ἱερεὺς εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα κατὰ τὴν τάξιν Μελχισεδέκ

But that the psalm was not spoken of him is plain. For it runs thus: "The Lord said to my Lord: Sit at my right hand, until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet. He shall send forth a rod of power upon Jerusalem, and you shall rule in the midst of your enemies. In the splendor of the saints, from the womb before the morning star I have begotten you. The Lord has sworn, and will not change His mind: You are a priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek."

3-83:3

Ὅτι οὖν Ἐζεκίας οὐκ ἔστιν ἱερεὺς εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα κατὰ τὴν τάξιν Μελχισεδέκ, τίς οὐχ ὁμολογεῖ; Καὶ ὅτι οὐκ ἔστιν ὁ λυτρούμενος τὴν Ἱερουσαλήμ, τίς οὐκ ἐπίσταται; Καὶ ὅτι ῥάβδον δυνάμεως αὐτὸς οὐκ ἀπέστειλεν εἰς Ἱερουσαλὴμ καὶ κατεκυρίευσεν ἐν μέσῳ τῶν ἐχθρῶν αὐτοῦ, ἀλλ ὁ θεὸς ἦν ὁ ἀποστρέψας ἀπ αὐτοῦ κλαίοντος καὶ ὀδυρομένου τοὺς πολεμίους, τίς οὐ γινώσκει

那麼，希西家並不是照著麥基洗德的等次永遠為祭司的——誰不承認呢？他也不是那救贖耶路撒冷的——誰不知道呢？他並未使能力的杖從耶路撒冷伸出、在他仇敵中掌權，反倒是神在他哭泣哀號的時候使他的仇敵轉回——這誰不認得呢？

That Hezekiah, then, is not a priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek—who does not confess it? And that he is not the one who redeems Jerusalem—who does not know it? And that he did not send forth a rod of power upon Jerusalem and rule in the midst of his enemies, but it was God who turned back his foes while he wept and lamented—who does not recognize it?

3-83:4

Ὁ δὲ ἡμέτερος Ἰησοῦς, οὐδέπω ἐνδόξως ἐλθών. ῥάβδον δυναμεως εἰς Ἱερουσαλὴμ ἐξαπέστειλε, τὸν λόγον τῆς κλήσεως καὶ τῆς μετανοίας πρὸς τὰ ἔθνη ἅπαντα, ὅπου τὰ δαιμόνια ἀπεκυρίευεν αὐτῶν, ὥς φησι Δαυίδ· Οἱ θεοὶ τῶν ἐθνῶν δαιμόνια. Καὶ ἰσχυρὸς ὁ λόγος αὐτοῦ πέπεικε πολλοὺς καταλιπεῖν δαιμόνια, οἷς ἐδούλευον, καὶ ἐπὶ τὸν παντοκράτορα θεὸν δι αὐτοῦ πιστεύειν, ὅτι δαιμόνιά εἰσιν οἱ θεοὶ τῶν ἐθνῶν. Καὶ τὸ Ἐν τῇ λαμπρότητι τῶν ἁγίων, ἐκ γαστρὸς πρὸ ἑωσφόρου ἐγέννησά σε, τῷ Χριστῷ εἴρηται, ὡς προέφημεν

But our Jesus, though He has not yet come in glory, sent forth a rod of power into Jerusalem—the word of calling and of repentance to all the nations, where the demons held dominion over them, as David says: "The gods of the nations are demons." And His mighty word has persuaded many to abandon the demons whom they served, and to believe through Him in the Almighty God, that the gods of the nations are demons. And the saying, "In the splendor of the saints, from the womb before the morning star I have begotten you," is spoken of Christ, as we said before.
