3-75:1

Ἐν δὲ τῷ βιβλίῳ τῆς Ἐξόδου, ὅτι αὐτοῦ τὸ ὄνομα τοῦ θεοῦ καὶ Ἰησοῦς ἦν, ὃ λέγει τῷ Ἀβραὰμ μὴ δεδηλῶσθαι μηδὲ τῷ Ἰακώβ, διὰ Μωσέως ἐν μυστηρίῳ ὁμοίως ἐξηγγέλθη, καὶ ἡμεῖς νενοήκαμεν. Οὕτως δὲ εἴρηται· Καὶ εἶπε κύριος τῷ Μωσεῖ· Εἰπὲ τῷ λαῷ τούτῳ· Ἰδοὺ ἐγὼ ἀποστέλλω τὸν ἄγγελόν μου πρὸ προσώπου σου, ἴνα φυλάσσῃ σε ἐν τῇ ὁδῷ, ὅπως εἰσαγάγῃ σε εἰς τὴν γῆν ἢν ἡτοίμασά σοι. Πρόσεχε αὐτῷ καὶ εἰσάκουε αὐτοῦ, μὴ ἀπείθει αὐτῷ. Οὐ γὰρ μὴ ὑποστείληταί σε· τὸ γὰρ ὄνομά μου ἐστὶν ἐπ αὐτῷ

並且在出埃及記中，神自己的名也就是耶穌——祂說這名沒有向亞伯拉罕、也沒有向雅各顯明過——也同樣藉摩西在奧祕中宣告了出來，我們也已經明白了。經上這樣說：『耶和華對摩西說：你要對這百姓說：看哪，我差遣我的使者在你面前，要在路上保護你，好領你進入我為你所預備的地。你要在意他、聽從他，不可違背他。因為他必不寬容你的過犯；因為我的名在他身上。』

And in the book of Exodus, that the name of God Himself was also Jesus—which He says was not made known to Abraham nor to Jacob—was likewise declared in a mystery through Moses, and we have understood it. It is spoken thus: ‘And the Lord said to Moses: Say to this people: Behold, I send my angel before your face, that he may guard you in the way, so that he may bring you into the land which I have prepared for you. Give heed to him and hearken to him; do not disobey him. For he will not draw back from you; for my name is upon him.’

3-75:2

Τίς οὖν εἰς τὴν γῆν εἰσήγαγε τοὺς πατέρας ὑμῶν; Ἤδη ποτὲ νοήσατε ὅτι ὁ ἐν τῷ ὀνόματι τούτῳ ἐπονομασθεὶς Ἰησοῦς, πρότερον Αὐσῆς καλούμενος. Εἰ γὰρ τοῦτο νοήσετε, καὶ ὅτι τὸ ὄνομα αὐτοῦ τοῦ εἰπόντος τῷ Μωσεῖ· τὸ γὰρ ὄνομά μου ἐστὶν ἐπ αὐτῷ, Ἰησοῦς ἦν, ἐπιγνώσεσθε. Καὶ γὰρ καὶ Ἰσραὴλ αὐτὸς ἦν καλούμενος, καὶ τὸν Ἰακὼβ τούτῳ τῷ ὀνόματι ὁμοίως μετωνομάκει

那麼，是誰領你們的列祖進入那地的呢？如今你們總要明白：就是那以耶穌這名被命名、先前被稱為何西阿的人。因為你們若明白這事，並且明白那位對摩西說『因為我的名在他身上』者的名乃是耶穌，你們就會認出來。因為他自己也曾被稱為以色列，並且他也曾照樣以這名給雅各改名為以色列。

Who, then, brought your fathers into the land? Understand now at last that it was he who was named by this name, Jesus, but who was formerly called Hoshea. For if you understand this, and that the name of the one who said to Moses, ‘For my name is upon him,’ was Jesus, you will recognize it. For indeed he himself was also called Israel, and he had likewise renamed Jacob with this name.

3-75:3

Ὅτι δὲ καὶ ἄγγελοι καὶ ἀπόστολοι τοῦ θεοῦ λέγονται οἱ ἀγγέλλειν τὰ παρ αὐτοῦ ἀποστελλόμενοι προφῆται, ἐν τῷ Ἡσαΐα δεδήλωται. Λέγει γὰρ ἐκεῖ ὁ Ἡσαΐας· Ἀπόστειλόν με. Καὶ ὅτι προφήτης ἰσχυρὸς καὶ μέγας γέγονεν ὁ ἐπονομασθεὶς τῷ Ἰησοῦ ὀνόματι, φανερὸνπᾶσίν ἐστιν

那些奉差遣前去宣告從神而來之事的眾先知，也被稱為神的使者與使徒，這在以賽亞書裡已有明示。因為以賽亞在那裡說：「請差遣我。」並且那位被冠以耶穌之名的，已成為一位剛強而偉大的先知，這對眾人都是顯而易見的。

That the prophets, who were sent to announce the things from God, are also called both angels and apostles of God, is made clear in Isaiah. For there Isaiah says, "Send me." And that he who was named with the name of Jesus became a mighty and great prophet is plain to all.

3-75:4

Εἰ οὖν ἐν τοσαύταις μορφαῖς οἴδαμεν πεφανερῶσθαι τὸν θεὸν ἐκείνον τῷ Ἀβραὰμ καὶ τῷ Ἰακὼβ καὶ τῷ Μωσεῖ, πῶς ἀποροῦμεν καὶ ἀπιστοῦμεν κατὰ τὴν τοῦ πατρὸς τῶν ὅλων βουλὴν καὶ ἄνθρωπον αὐτὸν διὰ παρθένου γεννηθῆναι μὴ δεδυνῆσθαι, καὶ ταῦτα ἔχοντες γραφὰς τοσαύτας. ἐξ ὤν συννοῆσαι ἔστι διαρρήδην ὅτι κατὰ τὴν τοῦ πατρὸς βουλὴν καὶ τοῦτο γέγονεν

既然我們知道那位神曾以如此眾多的形像向亞伯拉罕、雅各和摩西顯現，那麼，我們怎能困惑、又怎能不信祂照著萬有之父的旨意、藉著一位童女而生為人呢？何況我們有這麼多的經文，從中可以清楚明白，這事也是照著父的旨意成就的。

If, then, we know that that God appeared in so many forms to Abraham, to Jacob, and to Moses, how can we be at a loss and disbelieve that, according to the will of the Father of all things, He could also be born a man through a virgin—especially when we have so many Scriptures, from which one may plainly understand that this too came to pass according to the will of the Father?
