Lue. XIII, 10-17. Erat autem docens in synagoga eorum sabbatis. Et ecce mulier quæ habebat spiritum infirmitatis annis decem et octo: et erat inclinata, n c omnino poterat sursum r, spicere. Quam cum vidisset Jcsus, vocavit ad se, et ait illi: Mulier, dimissa es ab infirmitate tua. Et imposuit i!li manus: et confestim erecta est, et glorificahat Deum. Respondens autem archisynagogus, indignans quia sabbato curasset Jesus, dicebat: Sex dies sunt in quibus opor. t t operari: in his venite, et curamini, et non in die sabbati. Respondit autem Jesus, et dixit b: Hypocritæ, unusquisque vestrum sabbato non solvit bovem aut asinum a praesepio, et ducit adaquare ?
(Luke xiii, 10-17.) And he was teaching in their synagogue on the sabbaths. And behold, there was a woman who had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years; and she was bowed together, and could not at all look upwards. Whom when Jesus saw, he called her to him, and said to her: Woman, thou art loosed from thy infirmity. And he laid his hands upon her; and immediately she was made straight, and glorified God. But the ruler of the synagogue, being angry that Jesus had healed on the sabbath, said: There are six days in which men ought to work; on these come and be healed, and not on the sabbath day. But Jesus answering said: Hypocrites, doth not every one of you on the sabbath loose his ox or his ass from the manger, and lead them to water?
（路加福音十三10-17。）安息日，耶穌在會堂裡教訓人。有一個女人被鬼附著，病了十八年，腰彎得一點直不起來。耶穌看見，便叫她過來，對她說：「女人，你脫離這病了。」於是用兩隻手按著她，她立刻直起腰來，就歸榮耀與神。管會堂的因為耶穌在安息日治病，就氣忿忿地對眾人說：「有六日應當做工，那六日之內可以來求醫，在安息日卻不可。」主回答說：「假冒為善的人哪，難道你們各人在安息日不解開槽上的牛驢，牽去飲嗎？

Hanc autem filiam Abrahæ, quam alligavit Satanas, ecce decem et octo annis, non oportuit solvi a vinculo isto die sabbati ? Et cum haec diceret, erubescebant omnes adversarii ejus. Et omnis populus gaudebat in universis quae * fiebant ab eo.
And ought not this daughter of Abraham, whom Satan hath bound, lo, these eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the sabbath day? And when he said these things, all his adversaries were put to shame; and all the people rejoiced for all the things that were gloriously done by him.
況且這女人本是亞伯拉罕的後裔，被撒但捆綁了這十八年，不當在安息日解開她的綁嗎？」耶穌說這些話的時候，他的敵人都慚愧了；眾人因他所行一切榮耀的事，就都歡喜了。
