82:1
MARC. IV, 26-29.
'So is the kingdom of God: as if a man should cast seed into the earth, and should sleep and rise, night and day, and the seed should sprout and grow up, while he knows not. For the earth bears fruit of itself, first the blade, then the ear, then the full grain in the ear. And when it has brought forth, immediately he puts in the sickle, because the harvest is at hand.' Then, having dismissed the crowds, He came into the house; and His disciples came to Him, saying: 'Expound to us the parable of the tares of the field.' And answering He said: 'He who sows the good seed is the Son of Man. And the field is the world. And the good seed, these are the children of the kingdom. But the tares are the children of the wicked one. And the enemy who sowed them is the devil.
Tunc justi fulgebunt sicut sol in regno patris eorum. Qui habet aures audiendi audiat.
'The harvest is the consummation of the world; and the reapers are the angels. Therefore, as the tares are gathered up and burned with fire, so shall it be at the consummation of the world. The Son of Man shall send His angels; and they shall gather out of His kingdom all scandals, and those who work iniquity, and shall cast them into the furnace of fire: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. Then shall the just shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He who has ears to hear, let him hear.'
