MATTU. v, 43-46; Luc. v, 27-28. Audistis quia dictum est antiquis: Diliges proximum tuum, et odies inimicum tuum (Lev. XIX, 18). Ego autem dico vobis: Diligite inimicos vestros, beuefacite his qui vos oderunt, et orate pro persequentibus et calumniantibus vos, ut sitis filii Patris vestri qui in coeis est, qui solem suum oriri facit super malos et bonos, et pluit super justos ei injustos. — LUC. vi, 32-34. Si enim diligitis eos qui vos diligunt, quam mercedem habebitis? nonne et publicani hoc faciunt? Et si bene feceritis his qui bene vobis faciunt, quæ vobis est gratia? siquidem et peccatores hoc faciunt. Et si mutuum dederitis his a quibus speratis recipere, quas gratia est vobis?
(Matt. 5:43-46; Luke 6:27-28) You have heard that it hath been said: 'Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thy enemy' (Lev. 19:18). But I say to you: Love your enemies, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them that persecute and calumniate you, that you may be the children of your Father who is in heaven, who maketh his sun to rise upon the good and bad, and raineth upon the just and the unjust. (Luke 6:32-34) For if you love them that love you, what reward shall you have? Do not even the publicans this? And if you do good to them that do good to you, what thanks are to you? For sinners also do this. And if you lend to them of whom you hope to receive, what thanks are to you?
（太5:43-46；路6:27-28）你們聽見有話說：「當愛你的鄰舍，恨你的仇敵」（利19:18）。只是我告訴你們，要愛你們的仇敵，善待恨你們的人，並要為那逼迫你們、毀謗你們的禱告，這樣就可以作你們天父的兒子，因為他叫日頭照好人，也照歹人，降雨給義人，也給不義的人。（路6:32-34）你們若單愛那愛你們的人，有甚麼賞賜呢？就是稅吏不也是這樣行嗎？你們若單善待那善待你們的人，有甚麼可酬謝的呢？就是罪人也是這樣行。你們若借給人，指望從他收回，有甚麼可酬謝的呢？

nam et peccatores peccatoribus fenerantur, ut recipiant aequalia. — MATTH. v, 47-48. Et si salutaveritis fratres vestros tantum, quid amplius facilis? nonne et ethnici hoc faciunt? — Luc. VI, 35-36. Verumtamen diligite inimicos vestros, et bcnefaciie, et mutuum date nihil inde sperantes: et erit merces vestra multa, et eritis filii Altissimi, quia ipse benignus est super ingratos et malos. Estote ergo misericordes sicut et Pater vester misericors esi. Estote ergo vos perfecti sicut et Pater vester coelestis perfectus est.
for sinners also lend to sinners, for to receive as much again. (Matt. 5:47-48) And if you salute your brethren only, what do you more? Do not also the heathens this? (Luke 6:35-36) But love your enemies, do good, and lend, hoping for nothing thereby; and your reward shall be great, and you shall be the sons of the Highest, for he is kind to the unthankful and to the evil. Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful. Be ye therefore perfect, as also your heavenly Father is perfect.
因為罪人也借給罪人，要如數收回。（太5:47-48）你們若單請你們弟兄的安，比人有甚麼長處呢？就是外邦人不也是這樣行嗎？（路6:35-36）你們倒要愛仇敵，也要善待人，並要借給人，不指望償還；你們的賞賜就必大了，你們也必作至高者的兒子，因為他恩待那忘恩的和作惡的。你們要慈悲，像你們的父慈悲一樣。所以你們要完全，像你們的天父完全一樣。
