74:1
MATTH. XII, I-6; MARC. II, 25-28; Luc. vi, 1-5. Et factum est in sabbato secundo primo, cum transiret Jesus per sata, vellebant esurientes discipuli ejus 6picas et manducabant, confricantes manibus. Quidam autem Pharisæorum dicebant illis: Quid facitis, quod non licet in sabbatis ? Et respondens ad eos, dixit: Nec hoc legistis quod David fecit cum esuriisset ipse, et qui cum ipso erant: quomodo intravit in domum Dei, et panes propositionis sumpsit, et manducavit, et dedit his qui cum eo erant, quos non licebat ei manducare, nisi solis sacerdotibus ? Et dicebat illis: Quia Dominus est Filius hominis, etiam sabbati.
And it came to pass on the second-first sabbath, as Jesus passed through the cornfields, His disciples being hungry plucked the ears of corn and ate, rubbing them in their hands. But certain of the Pharisees said to them: 'Why do you do that which is not lawful on the sabbaths?' And answering them, He said: 'Have you not read even this, what David did when he himself was hungry, and they who were with him: how he entered into the house of God, and took the loaves of proposition, and ate, and gave to those who were with him, which it was not lawful for him to eat, save only for the priests?' And He said to them: 'The Son of Man is Lord also of the sabbath.'
有一個安息日，就是次大安息日，耶穌從麥地經過。祂的門徒餓了，就掐起麥穗來，用手搓著吃。有幾個法利賽人對他們說：「你們為什麼做安息日不可做的事呢？」耶穌回答說：「經上記著大衛和跟從他的人飢餓時所做的事，連這個你們也沒有念過嗎？他怎麼進了神的殿，拿陳設餅吃，又給跟從的人吃；這餅除了祭司以外，別人都不可吃。」又對他們說：「人子也是安息日的主。」

Aut non legistis in lege, quia sabbatis sacerdotes in templo sabbatum violant, et sine crimine sunt ? Dico autem vobis quia templo major est hic. Sabbatum propter hominem factum est, et non homo propter sabbatum.
'Or have you not read in the law, that on the sabbaths the priests in the temple profane the sabbath, and are without blame? But I say to you, that there is here one greater than the temple. The sabbath was made for man, and not man for the sabbath.'
「再者，律法上所記的，當安息日，祭司在殿裡犯了安息日還是沒有罪，你們沒有念過嗎？但我告訴你們，在這裡有一人比殿更大。安息日是為人設立的，人不是為安息日設立的。」
