MATTH. XXVII, 62-60. Aliera autem die quæ est post Parasceven, convenerunt principes sacerdotum et Pharisaei ad Pilatum, dicentes: Domine, recordati sumus quia seductor ille dixit adhuc vivens: Post tres dies resurgam. Jube ergo custodiri sepulcrum usque in diem tertium, ne forte veniant discipuli ejus, et furentur eum, et dicant plebi: Surrexit a mortuis: et erit novissimus error pejor priore. Ait illis: Habetis custodiam: ite, custodite sicut scitis. Illi autem abeuntes muniere sepulcrum, signantes lapidem cum custodibus.
(Matt. 27:62-66) And the next day, which followed the day of preparation, the chief priests and the Pharisees came together to Pilate, saying: Lord, we have remembered that that seducer said, while he was yet alive: After three days I will rise again. Command therefore the sepulchre to be guarded until the third day; lest perhaps his disciples come and steal him away, and say to the people: He is risen from the dead; and the last error shall be worse than the first. Pilate said to them: You have a guard; go, guard it as you know. And they departing made the sepulchre sure, sealing the stone, with guards.
（太27:62-66）次日，就是預備日的第二天，祭司長和法利賽人聚集來見彼拉多，說：大人，我們記得那誘惑人的還活著的時候曾說：三日後我要復活。因此，請吩咐人將墳墓把守妥當，直到第三日，恐怕他的門徒來把他偷了去，就告訴百姓說：他從死裡復活了。這樣，那後來的迷惑比先前的更利害了。彼拉多說：你們有看守的兵，去吧，盡你們所能的把守妥當。他們就帶著看守的兵同去，封了石頭，將墳墓把守妥當。
