164:1
Luc. XXII, 35-38. Et dixit eis: Quando misi vos sine sacculo et pera et calceamenlis, nunquid aliquid defuit vobis ? At illi dixerunt: Nihil. At illi dixerunt: Domine, ecce duo gladii hic. At ille dixit eis: Satis est. — JOAN. XIV, 31. Surgite, eamus binc. — MATTH. XXVI, 30; Luc. XXII, 39.
(Luke 22:35-38) And he said to them: When I sent you without purse, and scrip, and shoes, did you want anything? But they said: Nothing. Then said he unto them: But now he that hath a purse, let him take it, and likewise a scrip; and he that hath not, let him sell his coat and buy a sword. For I say to you, that this that is written must yet be fulfilled in me: And with the wicked was he reckoned (Isa. 53:12). For the things concerning me have an end. But they said: Lord, behold, here are two swords. And he said to them: It is enough. (John 14:31) Arise, let us go hence. (Matt. 26:30; Luke 22:39) And a hymn being said, they went out according to custom unto mount Olivet; and his disciples also followed him.
