MATTH. xx, 29-34; MARC. X, 46-52; Luc. ivm, 3543. Et egredientibus illis ab Hiericho, secutae sunt eum turbæ multæ. Et ecce duo caeci, ex quibus erat Bartimæus filius Timael, sedentes secus viam, audicrunt quia Jesus Nazarenus transiret, et clamavcrunt, dicentes: Domine, muserere nostri, fili David. Turba autem increpabat eos, ut tacerent. At illi magis clamabant, dicentes: Domine, miserere nostri, fili David. Et stetit Jesus, et vocavit eos, et ait: Quid vultis ut faciam vobis? Dicunt illi: Domine, ut aperiantur oculi nostri. Misertus autem eorum Jesus, tetigit oculos eorum. Et confestim viderunt, et secuti sunt eum, magnificantes Dominum a. Et omnis plebs ut vidil, dedit laudem Deo.
(Matt. 20:29-34; Mark 10:46-52; Luke 18:35-43) And as they went out from Jericho, a great multitude followed him. And behold, two blind men, one of whom was Bartimaeus the son of Timaeus, sitting by the way side, heard that Jesus of Nazareth was passing by; and they cried out, saying: Lord, have mercy on us, thou son of David. And the multitude rebuked them, that they should hold their peace. But they cried out the more, saying: Lord, have mercy on us, thou son of David. And Jesus stood, and called them, and said: What will ye that I do to you? They say to him: Lord, that our eyes be opened. And Jesus having compassion on them, touched their eyes. And immediately they saw, and followed him, glorifying the Lord. And all the people, when they saw it, gave praise to God.
（太20:29-34；可10:46-52；路18:35-43）他們出耶利哥的時候，有極多的人跟隨他。有兩個瞎子，其中一個是底買的兒子巴底買，坐在路旁，聽見是拿撒勒人耶穌經過，就喊著說：主啊，大衛的子孫，可憐我們吧！眾人責備他們，不許他們作聲；他們卻越發喊著說：主啊，大衛的子孫，可憐我們吧！耶穌就站住，叫他們來，說：你們要我為你們做甚麼？他們說：主啊，要我們的眼睛能看見。耶穌就動了慈心，把他們的眼睛一摸，他們立刻看見了，就跟從耶穌，歸榮耀與主。眾百姓看見這事，也讚美神。
