77:1
MATTH. XIII, 3-9; MARC. IV, 3-9; LUC. VIII, 5-8. Haec dicens clamabat: Qui habet aures audiendi audiat.
'Behold, the sower went out to sow his seed. And as he sowed, some fell by the wayside, and were trodden down; and the birds of the air came and devoured them. And others fell upon rocky ground, where they had not much earth; and immediately they sprang up, because they had no depth of earth. But when the sun rose, they were scorched; and because they had no root, they withered away. And others fell among thorns; and the thorns grew up and choked them. And others fell upon good ground, and yielded fruit, some a hundredfold, some sixtyfold, some thirtyfold.' Saying these things, He cried out: 'He who has ears to hear, let him hear.'
