On the Acts of the Apostles (Epic) 60

Matthew 9:2-8; Mark 2:5-12; Luke 5:18-26. And behold, four men carrying on a bed a man who was paralyzed, and they sought to bring him in and lay him before Jesus. And not finding by what way they might bring him in because of the crowd, they went up onto the roof, and through the tiles let him down with the bed into the midst before Jesus. And when he saw their faith, he said to the paralytic: Take heart, son; your sins are forgiven you. And the Scribes and Pharisees began to reason, saying: Who is this that speaks blasphemies? Who can forgive sins but God alone? And when Jesus perceived their thoughts, he answered and said to them: Why do you think evil in your hearts? Which is easier, to say:

Your sins are forgiven you, or to say: Arise and walk? But that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins, he said to the paralytic: I say to you, arise, take up your bed, and go to your house. And immediately rising before them, he took up the bed on which he had been lying, and went to his house, glorifying God. And amazement seized them all, and they glorified God, and were filled with fear, saying: We have seen marvelous things today. And they glorified God, who had given such authority to men.
