To the end. A Psalm of David.
140:1
Eripe me, Domine, ab homine malo ; a viro iniquo eripe me.
耶和華啊，求你拯救我脫離凶惡的人， 保護我脫離強暴的人！
Deliver me, Yahweh, from evil men. Preserve me from violent men:
140:2
Qui cogitaverunt iniquitates in corde, tota die constituebant praelia.
他們心中圖謀奸惡， 常常聚集要爭戰。
those who devise mischief in their hearts. They continually gather themselves together for war.
140:3
Acuerunt linguas suas sicut serpentis ; venenum aspidum sub labiis eorum.
他們使舌頭尖利如蛇， 嘴裏有虺蛇的毒氣。（細拉）
They have sharpened their tongues like a serpent. Viper’s poison is under their lips. Selah.
140:4
Custodi me, Domine, de manu peccatoris, et ab hominibus iniquis eripe me. Qui cogitaverunt supplantare gressus meos :
耶和華啊，求你拯救我脫離惡人的手， 保護我脫離強暴的人！ 他們圖謀推我跌倒。
Yahweh, keep me from the hands of the wicked. Preserve me from the violent men who have determined to trip my feet.
140:5
absconderunt superbi laqueum mihi. Et funes extenderunt in laqueum ; juxta iter, scandalum posuerunt mihi.
驕傲人為我暗設網羅和繩索； 他們在路旁鋪下網，設下圈套。（細拉）
The proud have hidden a snare for me, they have spread the cords of a net by the path. They have set traps for me. Selah.
140:6
Dixi Domino : Deus meus es tu ; exaudi, Domine, vocem deprecationis meae.
我曾對耶和華說：你是我的上帝。 耶和華啊，求你留心聽我懇求的聲音！
I said to Yahweh, “You are my God.” Listen to the cry of my petitions, Yahweh.
140:7
Domine, Domine, virtus salutis meae, obumbrasti super caput meum in die belli.
主－耶和華、我救恩的力量啊， 在爭戰的日子，你遮蔽了我的頭。
Yahweh, the Lord, the strength of my salvation, you have covered my head in the day of battle.
140:8
Ne tradas me, Domine, a desiderio meo peccatori : cogitaverunt contra me ; ne derelinquas me, ne forte exaltentur.
耶和華啊，求你不要遂惡人的心願； 不要成就他們的計謀，恐怕他們自高。（細拉）
Yahweh, don’t grant the desires of the wicked. Don’t let their evil plans succeed, or they will become proud. Selah.
140:9
Caput circuitus eorum : labor labiorum ipsorum operiet eos.
至於那些昂首圍困我的人， 願他們嘴唇的奸惡陷害 自己！
As for the head of those who surround me, let the mischief of their own lips cover them.
140:10
Cadent super eos carbones ; in ignem dejicies eos : in miseriis non subsistent.
願火炭落在他們身上！ 願他們被丟在火中， 拋在深坑裏，不能再起來。
Let burning coals fall on them. Let them be thrown into the fire, into miry pits, from where they never rise.
140:11
Vir linguosus non dirigetur in terra ; virum injustum mala capient in interitu.
說惡言的人在地上必堅立不住； 禍患必獵取強暴的人，將他打倒。
An evil speaker won’t be established on the earth. Evil will hunt the violent man to overthrow him.
140:12
Cognovi quia faciet Dominus judicium inopis, et vindictam pauperum.
我知道耶和華必為困苦人伸冤， 必為窮乏人辨屈。
I know that Yahweh will maintain the cause of the afflicted, and justice for the needy.
140:13
Verumtamen justi confitebuntur nomini tuo, et habitabunt recti cum vultu tuo.
義人必要稱讚你的名； 正直人必住在你面前。
Surely the righteous will give thanks to your name. The upright will dwell in your presence.
