Luc. xIt, 23-30; MATTH. VII, 13, 14-23. Et ait illi quidam: Domine, si pauci sunt qui salvantur? Ipse autem dixit ad illos: Contendite intrare pcr angustam portam: quia multi, dico vobis, quærent intrare, et non poterunt. Cum autem intraverit paterfamilias et clauserit ostium, et incipietis foris stare, et pufsare ostium, dicentes: Domine, aperi nobls: et respondens dicet vobis: Nescio vos unde sitis: tunc incipietis dicere: Manducavimus coram te, et bibimus, et in plateis nostris docuisti. Et dicet vobis: Nescio vos unde sitis. Discedite a me, omnes operarii iniquitatis, in ignem aeternum;

But he said to them: Strive to enter by the narrow gate; for many, I say to you, shall seek to enter, and shall not be able. But when the master of the house shall be gone in and shall shut the door, and you shall begin to stand without and to knock at the door, saying: Lord, open to us; and he answering shall say to you: I know you not, whence you are; then you shall begin to say: We have eaten and drunk in thy presence, and thou hast taught in our streets. And he shall say to you: I know you not, whence you are; depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity, into everlasting fire;

ibi erit fletus et stridor dentium, cum videritis Abraham et Isaac et Jacob et omnes prophetas intrarc in regnum Dei, vos autem expelli foras. Et venient ab Oriente et Occidente, et Aquilone et Austro, et accumbent in regno Dei. Et ecce sunt novissimi qui erant primi, et sunt primi qui erant novissimi.
你們要看見亞伯拉罕、以撒、雅各和眾先知都在神的國裡，你們卻被趕到外面，在那裡必要哀哭切齒了。從東、從西、從北、從南，將有人來，在神的國裡坐席。看哪，在後的將要在前，在前的將要在後。
there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when you shall see Abraham and Isaac and Jacob and all the prophets enter into the kingdom of God, and you yourselves thrust out. And there shall come from the east and the west, and the north and the south, and shall sit down in the kingdom of God. And behold, they are last that were first, and they are first that were last.
