JOAN. I, 43-51. In crastinum autem voluit exire in Galilaeam. Et invenit Philippum, et dicit ei Jesus: Sequere me. Erat autem Philippus a Bethsaida, civi. late Andreæ et Petri. Invenit Philippus Nathanael, et dicit ei: Quem scripsit Moyses in lege, et prophetae, invenimus Jesum filium Joseph a Nazareth. Et dixit Nathanael: A Nazareth potest aliquid boni esse ? Dicit ei Philippus: Veni et vide. Vidit Jesus Nathanael venientem ad se, et dicit de eo: Ecce vere Israelita, in quo dolus non est. Dicit ei Nathanael: Unde me nosti ? Respondit Jesus, et dixit ei: Priusquam te Philippus vocaret, cum esses sub ficu, vidi te. Respondit ei Nathanael, et ait: Rabbi, tu es Filius Dei, tu es Rex Israel.
約翰福音一章43至51節。又次日，耶穌想要往加利利去，遇見腓力，就對他說：「來跟從我吧。」這腓力是伯賽大人，和安得烈、彼得同城。腓力找著拿但業，對他說：「摩西在律法上所寫的，和眾先知所記的那一位，我們遇見了，就是約瑟的兒子拿撒勒人耶穌。」拿但業對他說：「拿撒勒還能出什麼好的嗎？」腓力說：「你來看。」耶穌看見拿但業來，就指著他說：「看哪，這是個真以色列人，他心裡是沒有詭詐的。」拿但業對耶穌說：「你從哪裡知道我呢？」耶穌回答說：「腓力還沒有招呼你，你在無花果樹底下，我就看見你了。」拿但業說：「拉比，你是神的兒子，你是以色列的王！」
John 1:43-51. On the next day, he would go forth into Galilee. And he findeth Philip, and Jesus saith to him: Follow me. Now Philip was of Bethsaida, the city of Andrew and Peter. Philip findeth Nathanael, and saith to him: We have found him of whom Moses in the law, and the prophets, did write, Jesus the son of Joseph of Nazareth. And Nathanael said to him: Can any good thing come from Nazareth? Philip saith to him: Come and see. Jesus saw Nathanael coming to him, and he saith of him: Behold an Israelite indeed, in whom there is no guile. Nathanael saith to him: Whence knowest thou me? Jesus answered and said to him: Before that Philip called thee, when thou wast under the fig tree, I saw thee. Nathanael answered him, and said: Rabbi, thou art the Son of God, thou art the King of Israel.

Respondit Jesus, et dixit ei: Quia dixi tibi, Vidi te sub ficu, credis ? majus his videbis. Et dicit eis: Amen, amen dico vobis, vidcbitis coelum apertum, et angelos Dei ascendentes b supra Filium hominis. — Luc. IV, 14-15. Et regressus est Jesns in virtute spiritus in Galilacam: et fama exiit per universam regionem de illo. Et ipse docebat in synagogis eorum, et magnificabatur ab omnibus.
耶穌對他說：「因為我說在無花果樹底下看見你，你就信嗎？你將要看見比這更大的事。」又說：「我實實在在地告訴你們，你們將要看見天開了，神的使者上去下來在人子身上。」——路加福音四章14至15節。耶穌滿有聖靈的能力，回到加利利；他的名聲就傳遍了四方。他在各會堂裡教訓人，眾人都稱讚他。
Jesus answered, and said to him: Because I said unto thee, I saw thee under the fig tree, thou believest? Greater things than these shalt thou see. And he saith to them: Amen, amen, I say to you, you shall see the heaven opened, and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of man. — Luke 4:14-15. And Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit into Galilee; and the fame of him went out through the whole country. And he taught in their synagogues, and was magnified by all.
