52:1
MATTH. VIII, 1-4; MARC. I. 40-45.
Matthew 8:1-4; Mark 1:40-45. And when Jesus had come down from the mountain, great crowds followed him. And behold, a leper coming knelt down and worshiped him, saying: Lord, if you will, you can make me clean. And stretching out his hand, Jesus touched him, saying: I will; be clean. And immediately his leprosy was cleansed; and Jesus said to him: See that you tell no one, but go, show yourself to the priest, and offer the gift that Moses commanded (Leviticus 14:2), as a testimony to them. But he, going out, began to proclaim and spread the report abroad, so that Jesus could no longer enter a city openly, but stayed outside in deserted places. And they came to him from every side.
