Et ipsi non introierunt in prætorium, ut non contaminarentur, sed ut manducarent Pascha, Tunc videns Judas qui eum tradidit quod damnatus esset, ductus poenitentia, relulil triginta argenteos principibus sacerdotum et senioribus, dicens: Peccavi, tradens sanguinem justum. At illi dixerunt: Quid ad nos? tu videris. Et projectis argenteis in templo, recessit: et abiens, laqueo se suspendit. Principes autem sacerdotum, acceptis argenteis, dixerunt: Non eos licet mittere in corbonam, quia pretium sanguinis est.
（太27:2-10；可15:1；路23:1）他們就把耶穌捆綁，解去，交給巡撫本丟彼拉多。（約18:28）他們自己卻不進衙門，恐怕染了污穢，不能吃逾越節的筵席。這時候，賣耶穌的猶大看見耶穌已經定了罪，就後悔，把那三十塊錢拿回來給祭司長和長老，說：我賣了無辜之人的血是有罪了。他們說：那與我們有甚麼相干？你自己承當吧！猶大就把那銀錢丟在殿裡，出去吊死了。祭司長拾起銀錢來，說：這是血價，不可放在庫裡。
(Matt. 27:2-10; Mark 15:1; Luke 23:1) And they brought him bound into the praetorium, and delivered him to Pontius Pilate the governor. (John 18:28) And they themselves went not into the praetorium, that they might not be defiled, but that they might eat the pasch. Then Judas, who betrayed him, seeing that he was condemned, repenting himself, brought back the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and ancients, saying: I have sinned in betraying innocent blood. But they said: What is that to us? Look thou to it. And casting down the pieces of silver in the temple, he departed; and went and hanged himself with a halter. But the chief priests, having taken the pieces of silver, said: It is not lawful to put them into the corbona, because it is the price of blood.

Consilio autem inito, emerunt ex illis agrum figuli, in sepulturam pcregrinorum. Propter hoc vocatus est ager ille* Acheldemach, hoc est ager sanguinis, usque in hodiernum diem. Tunc impletum est quod dictum est per Jeremiam prophetam, dicentem: Et acceperunt triginta argenteos pretium appretiati, quem appretiaverunt a filiis Israel: et dederunt eos in agrum figuli, sicut constituit mihi Dominus (Zach. XI, 12).
他們商議，就用那銀錢買了窯戶的一塊田，為要埋葬外鄉人。所以那塊田直到今日還叫作血田。這就應驗了先知耶利米的話，說：他們用那三十塊錢，就是被估定之人的價錢，是以色列人中所估定的，買了窯戶的一塊田，這是照著主所吩咐我的（亞11:12-13）。
And after they had consulted together, they bought with them the potter's field, to be a burying-place for strangers. For this cause that field was called Haceldama, that is, the field of blood, even to this day. Then was fulfilled that which was spoken by Jeremiah the prophet, saying: And they took the thirty pieces of silver, the price of him that was prized, whom they prized of the children of Israel; and they gave them unto the potter's field, as the Lord appointed to me (Zach. 11:12-13).
