128:1
LUC. XVIII, 1-8.
He also spoke a parable to them, that they ought always to pray and not to faint, saying: 'There was a certain judge in a certain city, who feared not God nor regarded man. And there was a certain widow in that city, and she came to him, saying: "Avenge me of my adversary." And for a long time he would not. But afterward he said within himself: "Though I fear not God, nor regard man, yet because this widow is troublesome to me, I will avenge her, lest at the last she come and assault me."' And the Lord said: 'Hear what the unjust judge says. And shall not God do justice for his elect, who cry to him day and night, and will he have patience with regard to them?'
128:2
Dico vobis, quia cito faciet vindictam illorum. Verumtamen Filius hominis veniens, putas inveniet fidem in terra?
I say to you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, do you think he will find faith on the earth?
