MATTH. v, 14-16; MARC. IV, 24; Luc. VIII, 16; XI, 33. Vos estis lux mundi. Non potest civitas abscondi supra montem posita. Neque accendunt lucernam, et ponunt eam sub modio, neque sub lecto, neque in abscond no loco, neque sub vase, sed super candelabrum, ut luceat omnibus qui in domo sunt. Sic luceat lux vestra coram hominibus, ut videant vestra bona opera, et glorificent Pa rem vestrum qui est in coelis. — MATTH. V, 17-20. Nolite putare quoniam veni solvere legem aut prophetas: non veni solvere, sed adimplere. Amen quippe dico vobis, donec transeat coelum et terra, iota unum aut unus apex non præteribit a lege, donec omnia fiant.

(Matt. 5:14-16; Mark 4:24; Luke 8:16; 11:33) You are the light of the world. A city seated on a mountain cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle and put it under a bushel, nor under a bed, nor in a hidden place, nor under a vessel, but upon a candlestick, that it may shine to all that are in the house. So let your light shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven. (Matt. 5:17-20) Do not think that I am come to destroy the law or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. For amen I say unto you, till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall not pass of the law, till all be fulfilled.

Qui ergo solverit unum de mandatis istis minimis et docuerit sic homines, minimus vocabitur in regno cœlorum. Qui autem fecerit et docuerit sic homines, hic magnus vocabitur in regno cælorum. Dico enim vobis quia nisi abundaverit justitia vestra plus quam Scribarum et Pharisæorum, non intrabitis in regnum coelorum.
所以，無論何人廢掉這誡命中最小的一條，又教導人這樣做，他在天國裡要稱為最小的。但無論何人遵行這誡命，又教導人遵行，他在天國裡要稱為大的。我告訴你們，你們的義若不勝於文士和法利賽人的義，斷不能進天國。
Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall so teach men, shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven. But he that shall do and teach men so, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. For I tell you, that unless your justice abound more than that of the scribes and Pharisees, you shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.
