MATTH. XII, 46-50; MARC. III, 31 - 35; Luc. VIII. 19- 21. Adhuc eo loquente ad turbas, Ecce mater ejus et fratres stabant foris, quaerentes loqui ei. Dixit autem ei quidam: Ecce mater tua et fratres tui foris stant, quærentes te. At ipse respondens dicenti sibi, ait: Quae esi mater mea, et qui sunt fratres mei ? Et extendens manum in discipulos suos, dixit: Ecce mater mea, et fratres mei. Quicunque enim fecerit voluntatem Patris mei, qui in coelis est, ipse meus frater, soror et mater est.

And someone said to him: Behold, your mother and your brothers stand outside, seeking you. But he, answering the one who told him, said: Who is my mother, and who are my brothers? And stretching out his hand toward his disciples, he said: Behold my mother and my brothers. For whoever does the will of my Father who is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother.
