MATTII. XXVII, 1; xxvi, 59-63; MARC. XIV, 55-61. Mane autem facto, convenerunt omnes principes sacerdotum, cum senioribus plebis et scribis, concilium facientes. Quaerebant falsum testimonium contra Jesum. ut eum morti traderent: et non invenerunt, cum multi falsi testes accessissent; nec inveniebant: ct convenientia illorum testimonia non crant. Novissimc autem venerunt duo falsi testes, et dixerunt: Nos audivimus eum dicentem: Possum destruere templum Dei hoc manufactum, et post triduum aliud non manufactum ædificare. Jesus autem tacebat. Et surgens princeps sacerdotum in medium, interrogavit Jesum dicens:
（太27:1；26:59-63；可14:55-61）到了早晨，眾祭司長和民間的長老並文士都聚集，商議要治死耶穌。他們尋找假見證控告耶穌，要治死他，卻尋不著；雖有好些人來作假見證，總得不著實據；他們的見證又各不相合。末後有兩個假見證來，說：我們聽見他說：我能拆毀神這人手所造的殿，三日內又另造一座不是人手所造的。耶穌卻不言語。大祭司起來站在當中，問耶穌說：
(Matt. 27:1; 26:59-63; Mark 14:55-61) And when morning was come, all the chief priests, with the ancients of the people and the scribes, assembled together, holding a council. And they sought false witness against Jesus, that they might put him to death; and they found not, whereas many false witnesses had come in; neither did they find it: and their testimonies did not agree. And last of all there came two false witnesses, and they said: We heard him say: I am able to destroy this temple of God made with hands, and after three days to build another not made with hands. But Jesus held his peace. And the high priest rising up in the midst, asked Jesus, saying:

Nihil respondes ad ea quae isti adversus te testificantur?Jesus autem nihil respondit.
這些人作見證告你的，你甚麼都不回答嗎？耶穌卻不言語。
Answerest thou nothing to the things which these witness against thee? But Jesus held his peace.
