MATTH. XII, 58-45. Tunc responderunt ei quidam de Scribis et Pharisxis dicentes: Magister, volumus a tesignum videre. Qui respondens, ait illis: — Luc. xr, 29 - 32. Generatio mala et adultera signum quærit, et signum non dabitur ei, nisi signum Jonæ prophetae. Sicut enim fuit Jonas in ventre celi tribus diebus et tribus noctibus: sic erit Filius hominis in corde terræ tribus diebus et tribus noctibus. Viri Ninivitæ sur. gent.in judicio cum generatione ista, et condemnabunt eam, quia pœnitentiam egerunt in praedicatione Jonæ. Et ecce plus quam Jonas hic. Regina Austri surget in judicio cum generatione ista, et condemnabit eam, quia venit a Unibus terrae audire sapientiam Salomonis.

Matthew 12:38-45. Then certain of the Scribes and Pharisees answered him, saying: Master, we wish to see a sign from you. He answered and said to them: — Luke 11:29-32. An evil and adulterous generation seeks a sign, and no sign shall be given it except the sign of Jonah the prophet. For as Jonah was in the belly of the whale three days and three nights, so shall the Son of Man be in the heart of the earth three days and three nights. The men of Nineveh will rise up in the judgment with this generation and condemn it, because they repented at the preaching of Jonah. And behold, a greater than Jonah is here. The queen of the South will rise up in the judgment with this generation and condemn it, because she came from the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon.

Et ecce plus quam Salomon hic. — Luc.xi, 24-26. Cum immundus spiritus exierit ab homine, ambulat per loca arida, quaerens requiem, et non invenit. Tunc dicit: Revertar in domum meam unde exivi: et veniens invenit vacantem, scopis mundatam et ornatam. Tunc vadit et assumit septem alios spiritus secum nequiores se, et intrantes habitant ibi: et fiunt novissima hominis illius pejora prioribus. Sic erit et generationi huic pessimæ.
看哪，在這裡有一人比所羅門更大。——路加福音十一章24至26節。污鬼離了人身，就在無水之地過來過去，尋求安歇之處，卻尋不著。於是說：我要回到我所出來的屋裡去；到了，就看見裡面空閒，打掃乾淨，修飾好了。便去另帶了七個比自己更惡的鬼來，都進去住在那裡：那人末後的景況比先前更不好了。這邪惡的世代也要如此。
And behold, a greater than Solomon is here. — Luke 11:24-26. When the unclean spirit has gone out of a man, it walks through dry places seeking rest, and finds none. Then it says: I will return to my house from which I went out; and coming, it finds it empty, swept with brooms, and adorned. Then it goes and takes with itself seven other spirits more wicked than itself, and they enter in and dwell there: and the last state of that man becomes worse than the first. So shall it be also with this most evil generation.
