MATTH. II, 16-18. Tunc Herodcs videns quoniam illusus esset a magis, iratus est valde; et mittens occidit omnes pueros qui erant in Beihleem et omnibus finibus ejus, a bimatu et infra, secundum tempus quod exquisierat a magis. Tunc adimpletum est quod dictum est per Jeremiam prophetam, dicentem: Vox in Rama audita est; ploratus etulalalus multus: Rachel plorans filios suos; et noluit consolari, quia non sunt (Jer.XXXI, 15).
馬太福音二章16至18節。希律見自己被博士愚弄，就大大發怒，差人將伯利恆城裡並四境所有的男孩，照著他向博士仔細查問的時候，凡兩歲以裡的都殺盡了。這就應了先知耶利米的話，說：「在拉瑪聽見號咷大哭的聲音，是拉結哭她兒女，不肯受安慰，因為他們都不在了」（耶利米書三十一章15節）。
Matthew 2:16-18. Then Herod, perceiving that he was deluded by the wise men, was exceeding angry; and sending, he slew all the boys that were in Bethlehem and in all its borders, from two years old and under, according to the time which he had diligently inquired of the wise men. Then was fulfilled that which was spoken by Jeremias the prophet, saying: A voice in Rama was heard, lamentation and great mourning: Rachel bewailing her children, and would not be comforted, because they are not (Jer. 31:15).
