126:1
JOAN. VIII, 3-11. Adducunt autem scribæ et Pharisaei mulierem in adulterio daprehensam, et statuerunt eam in medio, et dixerunt ei: Magister, haec mulier modo deprehensa est in adulterio. In lege autem Moyses mandavit nobis hujusmodi lapidare (Lev. xx, fO). Tu ergo quid dicis? Haec autem dicebant tentantes eum, ut possent accusare eum. Jesus autem inclinans se deorsum, digito scribebat in terra. Cum autem perseverarent interrogantes eum, erexit se, et dixit eis;: Qui sine peccato est vestrum, primus in illam lapidem mittat. Et iterum se inclinans scribebat in terra. Audientes autem haec a. unus post unnm exibant, incipientes a senioribas: et remansit Jesus solus, et mulier in medio stans.
（約8:3-11）文士和法利賽人帶著一個行淫時被拿的婦人來，叫她站在當中，就對耶穌說：夫子，這婦人是正行淫之時被拿的。摩西在律法上吩咐我們把這樣的婦人用石頭打死（利20:10）。你說該把她怎麼樣呢？他們說這話，乃試探耶穌，要得著告他的把柄。耶穌卻彎著腰，用指頭在地上畫字。他們還是不住地問他，耶穌就直起腰來，對他們說：你們中間誰是沒有罪的，誰就可以先拿石頭打她。於是又彎著腰，用指頭在地上畫字。他們聽見這話，就從老到少，一個一個地都出去了；只剩下耶穌一人，還有那婦人仍然站在當中。
(John 8:3-11) And the scribes and Pharisees bring unto him a woman taken in adultery, and they set her in the midst, and said to him: Master, this woman was even now taken in adultery. Now Moses in the law commanded us to stone such a one (Lev. 20:10). But what sayest thou? And this they said tempting him, that they might accuse him. But Jesus bowing himself down, wrote with his finger on the ground. When therefore they continued asking him, he lifted up himself and said to them: He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her. And again stooping down, he wrote on the ground. But they hearing this, went out one by one, beginning at the eldest; and Jesus alone remained, and the woman standing in the midst.

Erigens autem (se b) Jesos dixit ei: Mulier, ubi sunt qui te accusabant ? Nemo te condemnavit, mulier? Quae dixit: Nemo, Domine. Dixit autem Jesus: Nec ego te condemnabo. Vade, et amplius jam noli peccare.
耶穌直起身來，對她說：「婦人，那些控告你的人在哪裡呢？沒有人定你的罪嗎，婦人？」她說：「主啊，沒有人。」耶穌說：「我也不定你的罪。去吧，從此不要再犯罪了。」
And Jesus, raising himself up, said to her: 'Woman, where are those who were accusing you? Has no one condemned you, woman?' She said: 'No one, Lord.' And Jesus said: 'Neither will I condemn you. Go, and now sin no more.'
