Gregorius Anatolio diacono Constantinopoliano. Reverendissimus frater et coepiscopus noster Constantius suos homioes illuc pro Ecclesiae suæ utilitatibus festinans transmittere, tuae eos dilectioni voluit commendari. Proinde in quantum, a Deo jubente, potueris, eis, salva ratione, ubi necesse fuerit concurras, atque solatium feras, quatenus b dum tua fuerint, sicut dignum est, opitulatione suffulti, et ipsi illic minus valeant laborare, et prædictus frater noster Ecclesiæ suæ melius utilitates adjutas, te suffragante, cognoscat.
Gregory to Anatolius, deacon of Constantinople. Our most reverend brother and fellow bishop Constantius, hastening to send his men thither for the needs of his Church, wished them to be commended to your Love. Therefore, as far as, by God's command, you are able, meet them, saving reason, where it is necessary, and bring them comfort, so that, while they are supported by your help, as is fitting, they may both be able to labour less there, and our aforesaid brother may know that, by your support, the needs of his Church have been better assisted.
額我略致君士坦丁堡執事阿納托里烏斯。我們至可敬的弟兄、同為主教的君士坦提烏斯，急欲為其教會的需要而派遣他的人前往那裡，願他們被託付於你的愛。因此，在天主命定之下你所能及的範圍內，在必要之處，於合理的前提下，去接濟他們，給予他們慰助，好使他們既得你合宜的扶助支撐，就能在那裡少受些勞苦，並使我們上述的弟兄得知，藉你的支援，他教會的需要得到了更好的協助。
