ℹ️ This corpus has no morphological tagging. Glosses are matched by word form against a dictionary — a match does not prove it is the same word (an inflected form can coincide with another word’s lemma). Verify against the original and a specialist lexicon where precision matters.

Gregory to Candidus, presbyter of Gaul. The bearer of the present letter, our son Aurelius the presbyter, coming from the parts of Gaul, has asked that if anywhere in the possessions of the blessed Peter, prince of the Apostles, an oratory or a place which lacks a presbyter or an abbot can be found, it ought to be committed to him, so that both he himself may find the support of the present life, and we may be found to have complied with his petition. Accordingly, we commend him to your Love in every way, that in whatever the need shall require, your Love may assist him, and he may there find the solace of our writings.
