574:1
Gregorius Passivo episcopo Firmano. Valerianus, notarius Ecclesiae fraternitatis tuae, petitoria nobis insinuatiune suggessil, quod habetur in subditis, in fundo Visiano juris sui juxta muros civitatis Firmanæ oratorium se pro sua devotione fundasse, quod in honore beati marlyris Savini desiderat consecrari. Et ideo, frater charissime, si in tuæ parochiæ memorata constructio jure consistit v et nullum corpus ibidem constat a humatum, percepta primitus donatione legitima, id est in reditu solidos tres liberos a tributis fiscalibus, gestisque municipalibus alligata, prædictum oratorium absque missis publicis solemniter consecrabis;
Gregory to Passivus, bishop of Fermo. Valerianus, notary of the Church of your Fraternity, has suggested to us by a petitionary intimation what is contained in the following: that on the estate of Visianus, of his own right, near the walls of the city of Fermo, he has, out of his own devotion, founded an oratory, which he desires to be consecrated in honor of the blessed martyr Sabinus. And therefore, dearest brother, if the said construction rightly stands within your parish and no body is known to be buried there, once the lawful endowment has first been received—that is, three solidi of income, free from fiscal tributes and bound by municipal records—you shall solemnly consecrate the aforesaid oratory, without public Masses;
額我略致費爾莫(Fermo)主教帕西烏斯(Passivus)。你手足之情教會的公證員瓦勒里安(Valerianus),以陳情之意向我們稟明以下所載之事:他在自己權下、位於費爾莫城牆附近的維西安(Visianus)田產上,出於自己的虔敬建造了一座祈禱所,他渴望這祈禱所奉有福的殉道者薩比努(Sabinus)之名而受祝聖。因此,親愛的弟兄,倘若前述的建築確合法坐落於你的堂區之內,且查明其中並無屍體埋葬,就當先領受合法的捐贈——即三個索利都(solidi)的收益,免於國家貢賦,並以市政記錄加以約束——之後,你便可隆重地祝聖前述祈禱所,但不舉行公開的彌撒;

ita ut in eodem loco ncc temporibus futuris baptisterium construatur, nec presbyterum constituas cardinalem. Et si b niissas ibi fieri forte maluerit, a dilectione tua presbyterum noverit postulandum, quatenus nihil tale a quolibet alio saeerdote ullatenus praesumatur. « Sanctuaria vero suscepta sui cum reverentia collocabis.
in such a way that in that same place neither in future times let a baptistery be constructed, nor let you appoint a cardinal presbyter. And if perchance he shall prefer Masses to be held there, let him know that a presbyter is to be requested from your Love, so that nothing of the sort be in any way presumed by any other priest. But the relics received you shall place with due reverence.
