Gregorius Chrysantho episcopo a Spolctano. Paulus, b Ecclesiæ teatinae diaconus, petitoria nobis insinuatione poposcit ut ad fontes 943 in hasilica beatæ Mariae semper virginis genitricis Dei et Domini nostri Jesu Christi, quae est intra civitatem Reatinam posita, reliquiæ beatorum martyrum Hermetis et Hyacinthi et Maximi debeant collocari. Et ideo, frater charissime, si in eodem loco nullum corpus constat humanum, sanctuaria prædictorum martyrum cum reverentia siue ambiguitate suscepta diligenter consecrabis.

Paul, deacon of the Church of Teate, has asked us by a petitionary representation that the relics of the blessed martyrs Hermes and Hyacinth and Maximus be placed at the fonts in the basilica of the blessed Mary, ever-virgin Mother of God and of our Lord Jesus Christ, which is situated within the city of Rieti. And therefore, dearest brother, if it is certain that no human body is in that same place, you shall diligently consecrate the sanctuaries of the aforesaid martyrs, received with reverence and without ambiguity.
