Gregorius a Paulino episcopo Scire te volumus quia Maximiano fratri et coeplscopo nostro scripsimus ut fraternitatem tuam Ecclesiae b Liparitanje ex nostra auctoritate praeesse constituat. Gui te modis omnibus obedire necesse est, ejusque te Ecclesiæ c utilitatibus praecipimus decenter insistere, et quaeque ejus commoditatibus agnoveris oportere, te volumus sine cunctatione peragere. Ecclesiam vero Taurianensem, quoties opportunum tempus credideris, visitabis. Ita ergo fraternitas tua hæc omnia implere festinet, ut et sui præsentia Liparilauam salubriter disponat Ecclesiam, et visitationis studio Taurianensem d Ecclesiam congregere et fovere non desinat.

Gregory to Paulinus, bishop. We wish you to know that we have written to Maximianus, our brother and fellow-bishop, that he should appoint your fraternity, by our authority, to preside over the Church of Lipari. Him you must obey in all ways, and we command you fittingly to attend to the interests of that Church, and whatever you shall recognize to be needful for its advantages, we wish you to carry out without delay. As for the Church of Tauriana, you shall visit it as often as you shall deem the time opportune. Let your fraternity therefore so hasten to fulfil all these things, that both by its own presence you may healthfully order the Church of Lipari, and by zeal of visitation you may not cease to gather together and cherish the Church of Tauriana.
