Gregorius Anthemio subdiacono. Quoties digna consideratione, sustentationis causa, aliqua mœrentibus conceduntur, et Deum lætificant, et ipsum ditant sine dubio largientem. Ideo experientiæ tua; hac auctoritate præcipimus quatenos Matthæo viro clarissimo scholastico duodecim solidos dare non differas, quos tuis scito rationibus procul dubio imputandos. Ita ergo cum gratiarum actione jussionem nostram festina implere, ut. nulla accipientem possit fatiqare dilatio.

Gregory to Anthemius, subdeacon. As often as, with worthy consideration, certain things are granted to the sorrowful for the sake of their sustenance, they both gladden God and without doubt enrich the very giver. Therefore we command your Experience by this authority to make no delay in giving twelve solidi to Matthew, a most distinguished scholastic, which know without doubt are to be charged to your accounts. So then, with thanksgiving, hasten to fulfil our command, that no delay may weary the recipient.
