Gregory to Maximianus, bishop of Syracuse. I had formerly written to Your Fraternity that you should send to the city of Rome those who had said anything against Gregory, bishop of the city of Agrigentum. And now by these present letters we exhort that this be done all the more urgently. Wherefore hasten to transmit with all speed those very persons, together with the remaining documents, that is, the proceedings and petitions which have been furnished. Nor do we permit any delay or excuse to be sought out at all, so that, once these have been sent with speed to the city of Rome as we have said, we may know how, with the Lord's help, we ought more wholesomely to dispose concerning that person.
