Gregorius Zabardae duci Sardiniæ. Scriptis fratris et coepiscopi mei Felicis et Cyriaci servi Dei, gloriæ vestras bona cognovimus. Magnasque omnipotenti Deo gratias agimus quod talem ducem Sardinia suscepit, qui sic sciat quae terrena sunt reipublicae exsolvere, ut bene etiam noverit omnipotenti Deo obsequia patriae caelestis exhibere. Scripserunt etenim mihi quod eo pacto cum a Barbaricinis facere pacem disponitis, ut eosdem Barbaricinos ad Christi servitium adducatis. Hac de re valde lætatus sum, et dona vestra, si omnipotenti Deo placuent, citius serenissimis principibus innotesco.

Gregory to Zabarda, duke of Sardinia. By the writings of my brother and fellow bishop Felix, and of Cyriacus, servant of God, we have come to know the good things of your Glory. And we give great thanks to almighty God that Sardinia has received such a duke, who so knows how to discharge the earthly things of the commonwealth, that he also knows well how to exhibit to almighty God the services of the heavenly fatherland. For they have written to me that you are arranging to make peace with the Barbaricini on this condition, that you may lead those same Barbaricini to the service of Christ. At this I have greatly rejoiced, and your gifts, if they please almighty God, I shall make known the sooner to the most serene princes.

Vos ergo, quod coepistis explete, omnipotenti Dco devotionem vestræ mentis ostendite, cos quos illuc ad convertendos Barbaricinos transmisimus quantum valetis adjuvate, scientes quod talia opera multum vos et ante terrenos principes, et coram caelesti rege prævaleant adjuvare.
因此，你們要完成你們已經開始的事，向全能的天主表明你們心靈的虔誠，並盡你們所能去幫助我們派往那裡使巴巴里齊尼人歸化的人，要知道這樣的工作大有裨益，能在世上君王面前、也在天上君王面前為你們增添助益。
You, therefore, complete what you have begun; show the devotion of your mind to almighty God, and assist as much as you are able those whom we have sent there for the converting of the Barbaricini, knowing that such works avail much to help you both before earthly princes and in the sight of the heavenly King.
