Gregorius Anatolio diacono Constantinopolitano. Frater et coepiscopus noster a Marinianus ad urbem regiam pro Ecclesiæ suae utilitatibus diaconum suum scripsit se velle transmittere. Et quia eum dilectioni tuæ magnopere voluit commendari, scriptis præsentibus adhortamur ut ubicunque necesse ruerit, salva ei ratione concurras, ct ita in cunctis illi opitulari festines, ut charitatem tuam de qua prædictus frater noster valde confidit, cognoscat in opere.
額我略致君士坦丁堡執事阿納托利烏斯。我們的弟兄兼同主教瑪利尼安寫道：他願意為他教會的利益，差派他的執事前往皇城。既然他極願此人被薦於你的愛心，我們便藉本函勸勉你：凡有需要之處，你當在合乎情理的前提下奔往援助他，並如此急切地在凡事上扶持他，好使我們上述的弟兄——他對你的愛德深具信賴——得在行動中認出這愛德。
Gregory to Anatolius, deacon at Constantinople. Our brother and fellow-bishop Marinianus has written that he wishes to send his deacon to the royal city for the advantages of his Church. And since he greatly wished him to be commended to your Charity, we exhort you by the present writing that, wherever it shall be necessary, you may run to his aid with reason preserved, and so hasten to assist him in all things, that our aforesaid brother, who greatly trusts in your charity, may recognize it in deed.
