VERS. 26. — Deprecabitur Deum, et placabils ei erit. J. Christus pro nobis orans ad orandum noa accen dit. — Prius enim postulare angeium, et postmodum hominem dicit, quia nisiante ipse Dominus 764per Incarnationem suam interpellans Patrem, vitam nostram peteret, nunquam se iosensibHiias nostra ad postulanda ea quae aeterna sunt excitaret. Sed incarnationis éjus præeessit oratio, ut torporis nostri evigilatio subsequatur. [Vet. VI, Rec. V. ] Quia vero post tentationes, sæpe post immensas amaritudines menti nostrae in occulto gaudio lux veritatis erumpic; bene de hoc tentato homine et deprecante subjungitur:
第二十六節：「他要向神禱告，神就施恩於他。」九、基督為我們禱告，激勵我們禱告。因為他先說使者懇求，隨後才說那人，因為除非主先藉祂道成肉身向父代求、尋求我們的生命，我們遲鈍麻木的心就永不會奮起去尋求那些永恆之事。但祂道成肉身的禱告在先，好使我們昏睡的甦醒隨後而來。但因在試探之後、常在極大的苦澀之後，真理之光在隱密的喜樂中向我們的心思迸發，就合宜地接著論這受試探並禱告的人說：
VERSE 26. 'He shall pray to God, and He will be favourable unto him.' 9. Christ, praying for us, kindles us to pray. For first he says that the angel entreats, and afterwards the man, because unless the Lord Himself first, through His Incarnation, interceding with the Father, sought our life, our insensibility would never rouse itself to the seeking of those things that are eternal. But the prayer of His Incarnation went before, that the awakening of our torpor might follow. But because after temptations, often after immense bitternesses, the light of truth breaks forth in secret joy to our mind, well of this tempted and praying man it is subjoined:
